I'm not impressed by Fury's performances in his two fights against Wilder

    Good post.
You've hit the nail on the head with that fair reasoning regarding a "Shrinkatron" Of both fighters.

The overall losses versus gains for both fighters ability's I think would lean more in Fury's favour by a reasonable margin.

Wlad has never been outboxed due to his skill level, wasn't it impressive that Fury managed to outbox the master boxer who aged gracefully as everyone knows. I think I mixed up the rankings from the ring with tbrb which I find much more reliable. They had hammer and Cunningham in the top 10 at the time. They constantly update their rankings and archive them so it's much easier to keep track.

He looks more agile, skillful and light on his feet when grossly out of shape weighing 350lbs than everyone in the division does sans Usyk

And even at 260 or whatever he weighs here he moves around the ring and is more agile than most lightweights

A 140-175 pound Fury would be lightening quick with mongoose-like reflexes and agility and he would school everyone at those respective weights even taking training as seriously as he does now which isn't serious enough. If you think Clenelo would stand a chance against a 160-175lb Fury you're out of your goddamn mind. He'd box his ears off and have him swinging at thin air all night

Anyone who thinks Furys resume is good has just been fooled by his promotion

No one's going to argue that beating these guys is a good resume:
37 year old Cruiser Cunningham. Not only was he old but he wasn't even impressive even in his prime.
Hammer.. Come on? He's absolute trash.
Chisora.. Offers good pressure but is very one dimensional and has poor ring IQ.

Then there's Wlad, he was 39, and it was a close fight with Fury winning the winning rounds by a 2-3 scuff punches (often not clean inside glove punches). Not very convincing and those scorecards were insanely wide as well for a guy who was landed barely any full force jabs or clean hooks. Wlad was 39yo and it was the first time he actually fought someone bigger and someone he wasn't able to clinch to death. Wlads resume and competition was **** as well (Povetkin and Haye he should have been DQd, worst clinching I've seen).

Wilder 2. Does everyone forget Wilders last fight with a 50 yo? He was getting pieced up round by round and looked hurt just before Ortiz got lazy and was literally laughing/smiling and then got laid out. Wilders and Ortiz resume are ****

All in all Fury's resume is dog**** from start to finish.. Absolute useless resume and he lost to McDermott

I agree Fury's resume is over rated and with little depth to it, and he's cherry picked his share and ad exposed in many fights people don't talk about.

Wlad at age 39 was on his way out, and not nearly as good as when he was younger. The effort wasn't there until the final rounds, which Wlad won when he made Fury fight. No one is fast at age 39, your reflexes simply drop off.

Any rating system that has Cunningham and Hammer in their top ten isn't very good. I prefer Ring magazine as the best, with Box rec perhaps a 2nd. Fight news when they had ratings were solid. May I see these TBRB ratings when Fury fight them?

The Hammer fight should be a NC since Fury was bused for PED's, and Hammer wasn't very good anyway. I can't see Cunningham rate at heavyweight, period as he lost 2 of his last 3 with Fury next. No way, you must be mistaken here.

    Looking at TBRB current ratings

    Tyson Fury 30-0-1 (21) ENG ***
    1 Anthony Joshua 24-1-0 (22) ENG 1
2 Deontay Wilder 42-1-1 (41) USA 2 - off his one sided loss? Suspect
3 Andy Ruiz Jr. 33-2-0 (22) USA 3 - how much does he weight now? #3?
4 Alexander Povetkin 36-2-1 (25) RUS 4 - How old is he? Too old to be #4.
5 Luis Ortiz 32-2-0 (27) CUB 5 - How old is he?! Who has he beaten! BS.
    6 Michael Hunter 19-1-1 (13) USA 6 - A little high
    7 Dillian Whyte 27-2-0 (18) ENG 7
8 Joe Joyce 12-0-0 (11) ENG 8 - based off losing a fight on points until DD's eye went?
    9 Otto Wallin 22-1-0 (14) SWE 9 - B()LL
    10 Joseph Parker

Still Fury looks more interesting than A.J.

    Wilder was younger than Pulev.
Before Wilder vs Fury Wilder was not underdog like Ruiz vs A.J before first fight.
A.J resume also includes even older Wlad's version, 41 y.o and 39 y.o Pulev, then 38? y.o out of prime Povetkin, everyone knew that he is over the hill before fight with A.J.

Wilder was younger than Pulev and Pulev looks is less dangerous now than Dorticos etc boxers.

If A.J had beated Wilder in U.S or younger Wlad or Povetkin, his resume was good.
Now, doesn't looks that it is better than Fury resume.

Yeah, these are the facts. We are obviously lucky to have him. But the hate for Wlad was absurd too.

AJ's resume to me is better, and using the TBRB's ratings he has four wins over active top ten fighters. Way better than Fury. Wanna use Ring Magazine ratings? Okay 4 wins over active top ten fighter, way better than Fury too.

To say boxing needs this fight is an understatement and the winner here should have a legacy like win.

Troll thread. This same guy started a thread about Zhang and how he looked good and how impressed he was with Zhang’s ring IQ.

Are you gonna tell me that Anthony Joshua didn't look good until Ruiz landed a hook on his temple? Same idea, Zhang looked good until he ran out of gas in the 3rd round, and suffered from the condition which put him in hospital.

Rnd 1 through 3 Zhang was out boxed. He did not look good. He looked like ****. His only saving grace was landing any punch with his heavy hands. If you call that looking good you need to stick to 3 rnd tough man competition.

What put him in the hospital was eating power punches to the head.

Didn’t read the detail about him going to hospital but statement about his performance stands. He was not very good in the fight. He relied on getting a power shot in and hoping that it would be an early nights. Getting out box and getting saved by a power shot a rnd is not what many would call a great performance.
