I'm not impressed by Fury's performances in his two fights against Wilder

Exactly, he thinks Zhang's performance in the first 3 rounds was bad, wow. In what world was Zhang being outboxed in the first 3 rounds when every time he threw a punch he almost rendered his opponent unconscious. Zhang dominated rounds 1 to 3.

I guess most of mayweather's opponents were outboxing him based on Mayweather usually having a lower work rate than his opponents. Lobk needs to pay more attention to details when watching fights, assuming he watched the whole fight, not just highlights.

Tyson Fury’s height, reach and general size are what makes him an exceptional fighter. Why? Well, because the man can box, which means he can and does utilise those assets.

Of course there’s a valid argument to be had that he’s a big good fighter picking on smaller good fighters. In the same way you’d criticise 160lbs fighter going after a 135lbs fighter, but that’s the HW division for you.

What makes his performances so good, in my opinion, is his footwork and feints, coupled with a great sense of calm (all of which are missing from Wilder and Joshua at that level) His punching technique has never been good, but it was enough to batter Wilder.

Self proclaimed baddest man on earth. Don't forget 1 dimensional. I do however disagree with the OP. I thought Fury fought a smart, controlled and measured fight in the rematch and took Wilder out of his game plan and left Wilder looking like a second tier ameteur. 39 guys tried to do that and no one saw the final bell. And I wanted Wilder to win, but the truth is the truth.

All depends on how highly you rate Wilder really.

PEDs cheat. Never defended a belt. Avoided the best for years. Looks average, against average boxers. Yet he has conned most of the public into believing he is the best out there. This fraud will soon get exposed just like Wilder did.

Same, honestly. He got the wins, but he didn't look remotely as sharp and clean as he did against Wlad for example.

The first fight was excusable, he was coming from two years of alcohol and cocaine binges.

But in the second Wilder fight the stacks were even higher. And he came in very fat, and looked very sloppy and hittable.

He actually got tagged pretty good at least a couple of times, his good chin saved him. And also the fact he shut down Wilder very soon.

But if he's coming against Joshua like that, he's getting stopped. Not outpointed, outright beat down.

Those are very good rankings from TBRB apart from Ortiz, don't see how you find them so bad. The division is so bad that Povetkin is the fifth best guy in it, Wilder is still the third best and Ruiz fourth best. Who else would you have there instead? Heavyweight has always had lesser skilled guys at the top of it.
By the way Cunningham was in the top 10 twice according to their archives, they take robberies or close decisions into account so must have out him there for the SD loss to Adamek.

Wallin is on the top 10? These are bad rankings. When Fury fought Cunningham, there is no way Cunningham was ranked. None. If he was ranked at all. it wasn't at heavyweight.

This describes my feelings on Fury perfectly. Sure he gets wins but so did Primo Canera and Jessie Willard. I would even go as far as to say that Fury looks goofy in the ring, not just in person with his Manuel Char physique. What people don't see is that a lot of Fury's success comes from his incredible mental toughness. If Joshua can at least match Fury's mental toughness he will destroy Fury, mark my words.

Charr of course was tough and strong with good chin and power. Only Klit ( not that old his version ) had stopped him via cut. Povetkin with power punches combo and Briedis with 1 punch.
Otherwise Charr was damn durable and with very good chin, also strong.

Fury is larger than Charr and with better footwork, fast legs.

Char has been knocked out cold several times so I don't think his chin is good. What I am sure of though is that Char has no power.

Looks that stoppage losses were only vs Briedis, Povetkin and Klit.
    Other: via points.
And if someone creates such openings like Charr did vs Briedis, no one chin might help. To allow properly setup 1 punch.
Vs Pov he was more cautious therefore Pov needed combos to drop him down.
Cuts aren't chin, so Klit didn't handled him out concussion.

Bad chin, bad chin is only mantra. I more agree that 32 y.o Charr was too slow on his legs etc factors.

    Don't know about his power.
Concussions him handled out only prime Briedis and Povetkin. Klit landed on him big bombs but Charr was not knocked out, however he get deep cuts and blood stoppage.
