If this was happening any time soon Eddie would be IFL'ing this from the rooftops. The fact he's remained uncharacteristically silent since Wilder announced it speaks volumes.

It aint' happening anytime soon, too much £££ at stake in Brand Joshua to be taking a big risk, and they're both in on it (Joshua and Hearn).

They'll (J+H) both be happy to let this one sit out till' next Spring at the earliest, while "our Ant" fights yet another relative dwarf who was once classed as dangerous, 8 years ago.

Yeah, and ain't Hearn the guy who threw Kell Brook in with Golovkin on two weeks notice?

I guess that's why they turned down a legit $50 million offer from Wilder, right?

Plus, AJ isn't a legit champ until he fights Wilder, so he needs Wilder as much as Wilder needs him.
There is no "A" side here.

    Fukoff, dude.

Lewis was training for Johnson and when johnson got injured Vitali stepped in and Vitali was the one who took the fight on short notice , not lewis

I agree. Joshua has to be the favorite, has been in my mind all along. He is risking turning a whole bunch of potential supporters against him by doing this.

Joshua is clearly hands down the A-side.

His fights generate something like 5+ times the revenue of Wilders' fights.

And Joshua is also clearly hands down the more accomplished fighter between the two.

Lennox wasn't training hard everyone knew Kirk wasn't either Vitali was on the card too. The idea was that they both win & set up a title fight. Vitali was 100% ready
By then Kirks heart wasn't in boxing thanks to John Ruiz and Joe Cortez cheating him out of the WBA title. Name me another champion who defended against his #1 contender on 10 days notice

I’m starting to believe those who are saying Hearn is hesitant to take the risk

Hearn May indeed be the one not really wanting the fight

Either that, or he is stalling, and pushing for a later fight date where he sees more money to be made for all involved

The holdup in this scenario can’t be AJ not having enough notice. What is Hearn implying; wilder wants the fight mid to late August? That’s 8 weeks

What date is he saying he cannot make because “8 weeks” is not enough?

That doesn't make him the A side. It makes him a ****ing prima donna.

Wilder offered 50 mil, so there goes any A-side argument. And again, AJ needs Wilder exactly as much as Wilder needs AJ.

"A-side" my big black butt. (And I'm not even black.)

It does seem pretty sketchy when Wilders' own team said, "sign the contract then we'll show you and produce the money" when inquired about it.

It's like how there has supposed to have been a dozen different major super fights in Dubai over the last decade. They never produce the money. It never happens.

It's like if Don King wins a purse bid at any time the last few years. You know it will not occur as he will not be able to produce the money.

So I don't blame Joshua's side for not accepting that offer. You're silly to say otherwise.

However, I do blame Joshua's side for making an offer, Wilder accepting it, then Joshua withdrawing the offer.

Lol. This is just silly now. Why is Hearn continuing to make excuses? Everybody at this point know Hearn is afraid to put Joshua in with Wilder. So the excuses it pointless now.
