Depends on the price - went to HBO: Boxing, and they advertise the fight, but no price. Not sure if I'm willing to pay $50. On fight night I'll probably budge and buy it.

I never said i wasn't going to watch it. I said that i wouldn't pay for it. Im pretty sure the PPV numbers wont be impressive. Yes I am a very big boxing fan.

What amazes me is that PBF said, with a straight face, that marquez is a better draw than mosley.

I agree... don't forget HBO is running a 24/7 series for this fight. A ton of casual boxing fans are drawn to 24/7, and sooooo many people from the young demographic watch HBO. Keep in mind if you subscribe to HBO, it isn't just one channel like it used to be... it's like 15 HBO channels. 24/7 is shown on several of them on the reg. Millions of people watch that ****. This PPV won't shatter records, but I think we'll all be surprised how well it does.

That was a straight up lie. However, it was a neccesary lie. Clearly this is a tuneup fight that they're trying to sell as a competetive match. If he's supposedly all about money, than how can he justify fighting Marquez over Mosley without saying Marquez is a tuneup unless he claims Marquez is the bigger draw? This fight does around 500k. A fight with Mosley does around 1 mill.

Yeah , but I wish he would just be honest and tell it the way it is instead of trying to sell Marquez as a big draw (which he is not).

I guess the truth hurts because that would mean he is NOT the draw he gives himself the credit of being.

That would ruin the whole point of this fight in the first place. Floyd needs a tuneup, but he also wants a shitload of money. He can sell Marquez a PPV worthy opponent, work himself back into shape, and not take on much risk of losing. If he tells people that it's a tuneup, the PPV numbers will suffer.

Mexican's will be in the house for Marquez ... Just like they were in the house for Margarito vs Mosley.

They should be, Marquez is their best fighter right now and P4P #2. Marquez always had a lot of respect for Mayweather and always dreamed to fight him.

Typical PBF hater. I won't matter what you do this fight will outdo PAC-JMM and there's little you can do to stop it. PBF is a the top draw in the sport right now and he knows how to sell a fight deal with it.:hi:
