I doesn't take a rocket scientiest to know that Lopez is overhyped. He can only beat unknown and old fighters. I don't think this guy will last against the likes of Valero, Guzman, Sotto or even Juarez or John. Quit dreaming!

Juan Manuel Marquez has not been a 126lb in a while. You will never see him fight at that weight again.

I think JuanMa has done everything he possibly can with the opponent he has had in front of him. He's one in dominating fashion.

We just need to access how well he can cope with adversity before we consider him a great fighter.

I did watch the fight. As I was watching, I was thinking of his prospects in 126 which he said he planned to go up next year. I also watched the post fight interview.

Pinoys are just hating Lopez becasue He destroyed one of his idols in Penalosa, and make him look like a total bum.

No problem buddy Juanma looks ripe for the taking according to your standards. I'm humbled by your boxing expertise.

No, I know you ordered the fight, and it was on TV, but you didn't watch it, did you?

You can't guarantee a KO against a guy who runs and holds to avoid getting hurt.

    I strongly disagree.

    - Valero is even more untested than JuanMa, yet he gets a free pass?
    - Guzman has not fought in a while, and the best fighter he beat was Soto
    - Soto, lost every time he stepped up, and looks slow and one dimensional.
    - Rocky Juarez, loses every time he steps up, can't pull the trigger.
    - John has a controversial win over Marquez, did not look good last time out

On the evidence of seeing all of these fighters perform, I think Juan Manuel Lopez has put on better displays against similar type of opposition.

No question he won the fight last night. But as I've said I'm not impressed. He lacked stamina. He was slow. A fighter in the caliber of Pac/Marquez/Morales/Barrera will knock him out if he's dreaming to go up in 126. As I've said IF Marquez can go down to 126 which I think he can, the real JuanMa will school him w/ counterpunches and knock him out in the end. Time will tell this pretender will be exposed.
