To go from Bonnin and Barrett to Wlad is a very big step-up in class, even for a natural heavyweight.

I agree. Common sense tells you to go with Wlad, but this is the first live contender that Wlad will face since Peter (though I always thought that Peter was definitely overrated), still I consider that one of Wlad's best wins because there were so many Peter believers at the time and of that crop one of the best challenges.

The thing with Haye is that he has been dropped by lesser men. He has a better chance against Wlad than against Vitaly though, and it is interesting to see what will happen if he is able to tap on Wlad's chin with a significant punch, or to see Wlad's resolve in the scenario where Haye's punch resistance has improved by going to heavyweight.

Wlad has fought good opposition the past few years, but fact remains it was a rather pittiful bunch of which none really had the tools to exploit Wlad's only real weakness (chin). I also think his strength is somewhat overrated, Vitaly is stronger imo. This can be a short night, Wlad carries the stinging heat to crash Haye's chin, its also the other wat around.

Haye is definitely the underdog in this fight.

I hope that Haye wins but I do not think that it will happen. How is he going to avoid getting hit for an entire fight? All it takes is one on the chin and it's lights out. Actually, that goes for both fighters.

The current CW division is even weaker than the heavyweight division has ever been; so, yes, it is a big step....

You would think this would be obvious to "boxing fans", but evidently many people on this site don't comprehend the obvious. Wlad is going to annihilate Haye. Sure as I thought Pac was going to annihilate Hatton.

In a world where ogres like Valuev and old men like Holyfield still roam the HW landscape in droves, it makes you wonder sometimes just how big of a leap it really is for Haye. But then again, Haye isn't fighting an ogre or an old man, he's fighting arguably the best HW in the world since Lennox Lewis retired, whether we like to admit that or not.

If Wlad will come out to kill Haye he may be finished like in Sanders fight. If he will torture him with his jabs he wins but this will be another long boring fight of Wlad

I think Wlad is the favourite, but people would moan if Haye was ducking people which he isn't. I think the way the Klitschko brothers have dealt with this deal is a joke. They're a bunch of pussies, and their balls are tiny compared to Haye who has guts!
I think Wlad will outbox Haye and stop him, but I hope Haye can land one on his chin early on and stop him. But we know if Haye does connect with Wlads chin and by some miricale Wlad is still standing he will just jab for the whole fight like the ****** he is.

Fighters who wants to establish names . . . have to take risks.

HYPES doesn't always work. After all his press releases insulting HW fighters . . . he's got to man up and walk the talk.

Now this is it . . . it either make or bust. :deal
