Because he is grasping for anything to excuse Pac from taking the easier fight.

Pac going after big name opponents and beating them is what PacDBest depends on heavily for arguing Pac's greatness.

This move by Pac and Arum is an obvious statement that Pac is no longer doing this, and PacDBest is trying desperately to spin this any way he can.

    Here are his strategies:

The JMM is pricing himself out strategy:
Worked great before, but since Marquez has said publicly that he is willing to take a paycut it doesnt work. Now, PacDBest insists he should publicly state how little he will fight for. This doesnt happen in boxing or in business.

The Pac must have a belt to bring to the ring with JMM strategy:
Bogus. Belts dont mean a damm thing and everyone knows it. This is another utter contradiction from PacDBest, because he is repeatedly calling for Pac to get the lions share of the purse based on him being 'the draw'. Well, if he is 'the draw', and JMM must take a pay cut, then Pac must not need the lightweight belt from David Diaz to gain credibility, should he.

The no Flip has won a belt at 135lbs strategy:
Who cares, this is trivial. Ruiz was the first Puerto Rican heavyweight champ and is universaly dispised as a fighter. What makes for legacy is great fighters who beat other great fighters, not being the first (insert here) to win the (insert here) belt.

The 'if it dont make dollars it dont make sense' strategy:
This is the weakest, because PacDBest has based so much of his argument about Pac's legacy on the fact that he goes after the best, irregardless of the money. In fact, its been his calling card for justifying Pac's being greater than PBF.

Now, Im not going to argue about this all day. But now you have an idea for what Pac fans will be arguing, and why its all bogus. :good

We have no say... It's Pac's call. I'll just be happy see him fight & beat up anybody. I still prefer JMM. Diazes will do as long as they don't give us Fana & Juarez.:rofl

its funny how most posts you reply to are around the money issue yet totally ignore the statement made by rr94 about pacquiaos latest opponents

you handpick your posts almost as bad as pacquiao does fights

this sport is not like a bank where if you depossit your money you can withdraw it anytime. NO NO NO. you got your chance then take it either they are paying you peanuts or gold . :good

None of this, in any way, justifies Pac fighting David Diaz over JMM, Juan Diaz, or Guzman.

Those are the three fights he should be entertaining.

    Thats the bottom line.

its almost comical the way pacdpest dances around all the obvious contradictions in his arguments. its like an 8 yo who broke the lamp and is trying to explain that it wasnt him, lol. its pretty obvious that most people on this site think you ave 0 credibility. what puzzles me is why a supposedly grown man would sell his integrity so cheap. i guess when you have nothing you have nothing to lose.

I'm a Pac fan and I really want to see a Pac-Jmm rematch!

Now wtf is happening to this forum?! can't people just wait till they announce pac's next opponent? the schedule fight is still on march what's the rush they are still negotiating. Patience is a virtue as for the moment Haters needs to Shut The **** Up! for you'll be the ones who will look foolish if pac finally chooses JMM.

    Actually, no.

Take notice that 'Pac haters' did not start the thread.

And why do you hold different standards for Marquez fans than for Pac fans. A week ago, before JMM agreed to the paycut, did you call Pac fans foolish for saying he was pricing himself out?

So why would anyone look foolish if Pac chose JMM? All that is being argued here is simply that David Diaz is not a credible next opponent for Pac if his fans want to

    1. say he fights only the best
    2. maintain his P4P #2 (and for some #1) ranking

Pressuring? you're talking as if pac is reading all these crap... what i'm seeing is people riding the issue just to bash on pac. Haters can diss pac all they want if he chooses d. diaz, i don't really care... :good

And why is arguing about the credibility of Pac's next opponent not a valid topic on the forum?

It is done with every fighter, including PBF, Calzaghe, Cotto, etc.

All of the sudden its criminal when done about Pac? :huh
