You're not alone. The fight is years too late. Plus I never really cared for ether fighter.

I'll watch it, but I won't pay a cent. Its not the money. I would pay for Wilder vs Wlad. Rigo vs Loma.

But not his one. They jerked us around for too long to get my money.:deal

:good. Mayweather and PAC might make 80 million a piece.. but none of that will be from my pocket.

Think you are being a bit harsh, I am still excited for the fight and will definitely watch.

I have to say though that if this fight had been made in late 2010 when it should have been? I would have been way more excited.

I know FMJ and Pac stand to make a load more cash for having left it 5 years but I do feel like they jerked boxing fans around for half a decade.

Yeah sure.. and maybe a day or two before fight night you'd prepare for a party in your place in conjunction with the event.

The fight could be a big letdown. I think charging so much for tickets is asking for a big fall with the general public if the fight doesn't live up to the hype.

And there's a lot of hype for the fight to live up to.

The big celebs won't care and most of them are casuals. They're paying the price for the experience, attention and for the big media event. The boxers will be wanting to see a good fight but i doubt some of the obscure celebs will care too much. I think some of them just want to get their faces on the camera and get some attention.

The Hagler/Leonard fight was spoken about for close to 5 years and that fight didn't look like it was going to materialize throughout that time period. Even SRL had this very unusual retirement announcement, where he asked Hagler to attend it (Hagler thought he was going to announce the mega fight between them and SRL ended up saying he was retiring and that he'd never face Hagler- it was such an unnecessary thing to do.)

Anyway, Floyd and Manny are still 2 of the very best in the sport. If they were mediocre fighters at this juncture, that would be one thing. But they're still widely considered 2 of the top 3 or 4 P4P fighters in the sport.

I just hope the actual fight itself lives up to the hype, but these 2 guys still have plenty left in the tank.

    Yep:lol:

Once the press conference gets kicked off and the momentum builds, a whole lot of people will be up for it.

I will watch, but not with mouth-wattering hunger that I'd have if the fight happened in 2009-2011

If you plan on watching the fight at some point or another, the fact you aren't particularly hyped for it is irrelevant.

If you don't care anymore because you think it's past expiration date even though both fighters are still heavy favorites to beat everybody around their weight class then you are no real boxing fan.
