No excuses, he got battered and stopped by a superior fighter today. But he still didn't go down. Hopefully he learns to stop relying 100% on his power and to respect his opponents more as he fights better fighters. And Durodola is a hell of a fighter, he took some BOMBS from kudryashov and kept going. I would like to see him in the mix with the best cruisers ASAP as he's already 35 years old.
Definitely too soon to write him off completely I agree... But he has a lot of work to do. His power is legit, but he's got some glaring holes as far as his boxing goes.
I'm just not sure if he can make all the adjustments, he really looks like he has absolutely zero ring IQ, his stamina is **** poor as well, very slow too. I've actually kind of written him off becoming elite since his last fight and for me this one solidified it completely. Either way, he's still a really entertaining fighter, looks badass, awesome power, his fights will always provide some great entertainment.
I'm not one to write a guy off after a loss, but he's certainly got some work to do. Hopefully today serves as a wakeup call for him that not everybody will fall down just because you hit hard. Big respect for Durodola, too. I'd like to see him land a solid top 10 fight next.
Yep! His defence is leaky and he depends too much of his murderous firepower. On top of that he is quite slow at times. Nevertheless, far too early to write him off completely after this disappointing performance against an unknown African opponent. He should rematch the African as soon as poosible.
Let's see if he can ditch his Mayweather defense first. If he can't, he won't make it to the elite level. Even if he does somehow get a belt, his ring IQ is going to be a problem. That's something that can't be taught...or very hard to teach. He can be a Randall Bailey type fighter.
He gets hit VERY easily. The last guy was landing too and was pretty limited. Unless he does something about his defence, hes going to be battered against the top guys
I can tell most of the posters on this thread didn't even watch the fight, but read the headlines and their fellow haters opinions and made their low info post. As usual. Kud was too overconfident and lazy in that fight. He easily won round 1 and hurt Durodola and he didn't take many clean shots either. Round 2 he continued to be lazy while durodola came out more aggressive but more accurate and he caught Kud big with a shovel right hook that hurt him and put his back on the ropes where he finished it. The russian needs to move his feet more and throw a jab. Only the greats have started everything off of the jab. Dimitry can be a world champ if he uses his feet, a jab and takes every opponent seriously. His power is the best in the division
LOVE an upset. Not writing him off either though, just needs to wise up a bit and work on his conditioning. The offensive base is there, nothing that can't be fixed. Massive props to Durodola too
