I'm convinced that something went terribly wrong in the drug testing leading up to that match. Mayweather stressed "Olympic style" drug testing and this led to both fighters getting routine blood and urine testing. The blood testing appeared to have a detrimental effect on both fighters. Floyd was visibly dehydrated and pale looking, he was licking his lips in the pre-fight interview with Jim Gray. Pacquiao suffered and injury and also appeard to be very unhealthy looking compared to his normal form.

C'mon man be serious There is no way in hell Floyd was dehydrated.
Ask any doctor or nurse that deals with dehydration what condition Floyd would be in to need 750 ml of saline? They'll tell you he'd be in ICU NOT dancing round a boxing ring for 36 mins 12 rounds Pac had a torn rotator cuff but was denied the promised Toradol by NSAC
Youre really talking silly on this one

He clearly had dry mouth. If you watched the pre-fight interview with Jim Gray he was definitely dehydrated. And frankly Pac looked dehydrated as well. You have to admit that it was pretty much the worst versions of Mayweather AND Pacquiao ever which led to a dud fight. So you have to ask yourself - why didn't they produce a classic? I'm saying I suspect that it had something to do with the blood testing. Remember Pacquiao was very queasy of needles but he had to agree to Floyd's "Olympic Style" drug testing to make the fight.

There was no "Olympic style" anything Shadow. You need to retire that phrase. Testing started when Floyd said so. Doesn't that sound a little odd to you? And just how much blood do you think they take?? It's a couple of ounces. Not enough to do anything to cause dehydration. Let alone SEVERE dehydration to the point Floyd would need more saline than most athletes even use. You're ability to grasp at straws is unmatched here. You do it intentionally as a fanboy, or out of ignorance and an unwillingness to learn more.

Well Floyd was the one who coined the term "Olympic style" drug testing, and he coined that term whilst passively suggesting Pacquiao may be on something, and he claimed that he wouldn't fight Pacquiao unless it was "on an even playing field".

Whatever you want to call it, the drug testing appeared to have an drastic effect on the health and well being of both fighters, as I think we can all agree that BOTH Mayweather and Pacquiao looked very unhealthy on fight night. We can only speculate as to what caused both fighters to be so unhealthy. Given all the drug testing rhetoric that Mayweather put out there in the years leading up to their encounter, it is not unreasonable to speculate that drug testing may have had something to do with why they were both so unhealthy and why the match ended up being so disappointing. Floyd needing saline, Pacquiao injuring his shoulder. Both fighters were clearly unhealthy-looking on fight night. It didn't produce the classic match that everyone was looking forward to. If their performance / health on fight night WASN'T due to blood testing, then how do you explain the fight being such a dud instead of a classic? Surely something caused both fighters to be lesser versions of themselves when they met than they had every been in any other match.

"Coined"... FFS, he didn't coin it, nor did he ever implement it. NOT ONCE. You need to get a grip w/ reality.
More grasping of straws.... and with your reach, you could dunk a basketball lying on your back.
You have no critical thinking ability whatsoever. Face value is your game.

The ONLY conclusion as to why it was a dud was....the drug testing???
Blood taken, which is just an ounce, caused SEVERE dehydration??
You even mentioned Pac's shoulder....yet it was DRUG TESTING which made the fight a dud. You're all over the place trying to defend your poorly contrived reasoning and answers.

O...K if it wasn't drug testing that caused the fighters to be so unhealthy leading to a dud, then what was it? Why wasn't it a classic?

Something did go wrong. For Floyd. Testing agents saw evidence of the IV use.

Boxers who do hair transplants (or take Hair-care supplements) will fail most PED tests, because suppressors of DHT are also masking agents. Starting with Finasteride which is also a proven long-term supplement for weight-loss + it lowers sexual desire making it perfect for lonely young boxers in training camps.

You do know that saline comes in 750 ml batches right? That doesn't that he was going to use the entire bottle.

Floyd fought boring duds all the time FFS. The whole PED thing started because he was scared of how good Pac looked.
Floyd fought cautiously, as he had done many times, aware that Pac could hurt him. Pac's not the explosive fighter he once was. It's not a huge mystery.
