I'm now convinced that prime Joe Louis may have stopped AJ

:D Yet another post with no specific references or explanations regarding Louis’ footwork (missed this earlier)!

I think Aj is too big athletic long and powerful for most heavyweights in history. The best Superheavyweights have jus too much size length power and skill and they know how to use it on smaller heavyweights...

That said..I consider Louis an anomaly and would favor him over Joshua

    You're probably right about that.

Louis was much faster punching than Parker and much, much harder punching .. all the talk about Parker's jab was a bit hype to me as he rarely used it to set himself up to get in punching range .. of course Joshua had a lot to do with it .. if you cannot hurt Joshua you're not getting anywhere, that's for sure .. by no means is Louis a lock but it would be a fascinating fight to have seen.

Yeah, I don't think it's a foregone conclusion and a potential one-sided massacre like it's made out to be.

Look , I don't care if you're Joe Louis, fighting a guy four inches taller, thirty five pounds of solid muscle heavier, giving up 6" in reach against a real guy like AJ is a hell of a lot .. this is AJ and not a Bruno .. who the hell knows .. if Joe can move fast and get inside and hurt him before Joshua lands .. I"m a believer that Louis' chin is under rated by many but it never was Holyfield's ...

Size and power, yeah. Skills, lol no. The skills at the top heavyweights now are woefull in terms of skill, they'd do decent H2H, but only due to size. I think H2H the 90s was around the peak in terms of size and skills. But these things go up and down.

I have previously directed you to the Levinsky fight, the Baer fight, and the Farr fight.

It should be obvious from those fights, that he is going to employ footwork, if he thinks that he needs to use footwork.
