I'm now convinced... the pressure is squarely on Vitali. Period.

He is nearly a 2-1 favorite and just about every boxing analyst and fan is predicting him to not just beat Samuel Peter, but to do so easily. Samuel has zero pressure on him. He is not supposed to win. With the fight being in Vitali backyard, the scales tip even more his way.

It'll be interesting to see how the underdog tag affect Sam. I do not think the pressure will get to Vitali. The only hope Sam has is to somehow rough up Vitali and make his go into the later rounds, where his age and layoff may take it's toll. But I don't see it going that far.

Prediction: Vitali by KO, round 6

(Ohh and by the way, I am a huge Samuel Peter fan)

Peter has pressure too because favorite or not, if you lose to someone who has been inactive for as long as this, then everyone will have confirmation that you were and always will be a shitty fighter.

I'm rooting for it... but have my doubts. I have to be an honest fan.

I think the "correct" strategy for Sam is to come after Vitali and stay close, fight on the inside and bang the body a la a prime James Toney. He is going to have to be at his very best defensively and needs to make this a very physical fight in which he make Vitali tire. If he can do this, he's got a shot.

If, on the other hand, he stays outside and decides to be macho out there and stand toe-to-toe with Vitali, he'll more than likely get tagged with straight rights and will get stopped... early.

What are you talking about Swedeone, me and you agreed alot in the past, but not this time. Peter has the all the pressure in the world on his shoulders, the guy is fighting an oppenent that hasnt been in a live fight for 4 years, a loss would not only set him back, but would pretty much turn him from a "Nightmare" to his oppenents, to a mere "Daydream". If Vitali loses all people will say is that he's old, out of his prime, and that he was not ready for a fight of that magnitude straight out the gate.

Interesting, thats the last time I predicted a Klit loss as well. I was almost sure Peter was going to blow Wlad out of the water, while he almost did, but Peter proved too green in the end to beat a fighter like Wlad at that stage of his career.

It doesn't matter who has "more pressure" they both have alot ,this is the biggest HW fight in some time and will be a huge win for the winner.

Interestingly the Peter vs. Wlad fight was the first one where I put my money on Klitschko and won. I have been betting on every Klitschko fight ever since and winning every time. This Saturday won't be any different :hi:

He almost blew Wlad out of the water? The fight went 12 rounds and in no part of the fight was Wlad seriously hurt at all. I have to disagree with that statement.

Come on Guru, we disagree enough, dont you remember the 10th round, Peter had Wlad hurt pretty bad and unfortuantely for Peter the round had seconds left, not to mention early in the fight where Peter had Wlad holding on for dear life and panicking, as well as hitting the canvas twice, I dont know Guru, Wlad did look pretty bad early on and talking to most Klit fans, they agreed they were on edge for most of the fight.

VITKLIT isn't going to have to worry about the back of his head because those punches are gonna smash right into his face.

Unless he plans on molesting Sammy all night in homage of Jawny Ruiz.

This can also depend on how Vitali performs.
