And then Fury retired. Came back, fought 4 bums and beat Wilder, but who has Wilder beaten ? Ortiz is his only good win and he struggled heavily. At that point when Fury beat Klitschko he obviously had a better resume but now ? No. He doesn't. Compare their resumes.

Aj: past it Klitschko, past it Povetkin, past it Pulev (beat Chisora easily), Whyte (beat Oscar Rivas and KO'd Chisora)

Fury, Past it Klitschko (better than Aj's win over Klitschko), Wilder (only beat Luis Ortiz), Chisora

Lol, been telling people who fury is for years. Like I told them who bjs was for years. Same people saw the opposite for the same reasons. Same people will defend him for the same reasons.

    Who said he wasn't?

Beating a champ with odds stacked against you is more impressive than beating an over the hill fighter with home advantages

    Use your brain

I know your smarter than that

I had the flu once before an amateur fight. Like two weeks before or something. I felt good but physically I had not recovered. I had 0 energy when doing any physical activity.
My opponent had no issues running through me as I was already gassing during my warmup.

Fury has a great excuse if he eventually fights wilder and loses, he will say his body is still weak from the virus like what really did happen to povetkin even if its not true. Win win for fury, lose to wilder and get paid but still protect his arrogant side from a hit after losing. But like i said in another post in another topic days ago, i dont think they will fight this year if ever.

To me resume is more about significant fights. The Gypsy King has three of them: Wlad, Wilder I and Wilder II. The Bodybuilder has none. That's 3-0 in favor of the Gypsy King.

Deontay's resume is mostly shyte but he was nevertheless the Bodybuilder's main target when the Gypsy King was retired. It just so happened that the Gypsy King ended up being the one to pop that cherry.

If that's the case then Fury will have no other choice but to retire, because if he backs out of the trilogy, he'll be sued for all he's worth.

Fury is looking like a coward right now. He always looks to get out of immediate rematches.

Fury has been playing too hard at being a celebrity recently.
Once that gets into you, you forget what got you where you are, and rarely get back to where you was sadly.

Still my favorite Heavyweight of this Era.

A close 2nd is Andy “Tubbo” Ruiz,
    Because he’s fat.

hard not to be a fury fan after he ate that Deontay -
    “2 piece with a biscuit”
    & peeled his flabby
“egg shaped form” off the canvas & fought back into that 1st wilder fight.

That alone was impressive as hell.

Not if the over the hill fighter is far more skilled and dangerous than the "champ" LOL. Povetkin even at 41 before Covid was a better than Wilder, and Aj beat Povetkin 2 years before that
