Got some pics of me with a few boxers on my friends camera so I need to get copies of those. But we ended up at Planet Hollywood after the fight just having a few beers when there was all sorts of comotion upstairs. Then we heard some massive cheers and sure enough Joe, Frank Warren, Bruce Willis, Sly Stallone were all coming down the escaltor. All of them got absolutely mobbed and Calzaghe gave a genuine sounding speech thanking all the fans for their support. He spent quite a bit of time signing autographs and thanking everyone. I hung back a bit and started walking towards the bar when I bumped into Bruce Willis on the corner of the craps table! :thumbsup

Had about 3 hours sleep over the whole weekend!

Favourite song of the weekend: "He's got a pineapple on his head" to Shannon Briggs.

Fantastic man!! Did Bruce have that Hottie he was sitting with at the fight with him? The Pineapple song was great too. We all noticed it watching the weigh in videos on here.

No, he was literally on his own as everyone else was mobbing Calzaghe!

Also, a few people I know flew via Dallas and met RJJ at the airport. He had all the time in the world for them, posed for a load of photos, wished them a great time in Vegas and told them that he'd see them again in Cardiff after Joe beats Hopkins. Said he was a genuinely nice guy.

I think we all owe a debt of gratitude for Tarver sparing us from having to see a Calzaghe versus Woods charade. For that reason alone I think Tarver deserves a shot.

I think a Dawson fight would be the pinnacle of what's out there but I'm afraid that will never happen. Calzaghe isn't going to be around that long. He wants to retire undefeated and it's going to take a potential fight that has the right risk reward ratio.

I don't think its a very good fight to make, Tarver is still good, but i would prefer for Joe's legacy that he faced a current prime fighter again. Dawson is the one that most real fans want to see. Dawson still at times against Johnson showed his great natural ability, i think people were very quick to call him just a hyped fighter. He also showed that he needs some polish, and that he doesn't really cope well with pressure. I still believe that anyone who tries to "box" with Dawson would have a lot of trouble. The guy has great skills. Whether or not Calzaghe could effectively apply pressure would be very interesting, especially against Dawson who appears to have filled out nicely, and is quite a big large heavy now.

Brooklyn in reality they wanted Woods to win and face him. They were calling out Pavlik but after the Fight with BHop Pavlik looms as a greater threat than anticipated before Saturday, they did the math and so team Calzaghe has revised their thinking and are opting for Jones who has less to offer at this point. Dawson is the Guy they dont want. They could be tempted into fighting Tarver maybe, but remember these guys are cherry pickers and safety first types and will take the path of least resistence. What would a guy out to prove his greatness in his heart....what would he do. What would a truly great fighter do?

if calzaghe fought RJJ and beat him(as he definitely will). Will you then say that Joe Calzaghe is greater and better than RJJ?:rofl:rofl

Are you people blind to see that jones is clearly shot? Got KOed twice. Even in his recent win performances it is very clear he's not the same jones that we all knew.
