I'm picking Dirrell to win this SMW tournament

Has there been a poll yet as to who will win??? I dont recall seeing one. It would be interesting to see, even though i have a feeling that kessler would lead the way.

Everyone has their own opinion but I can't see it happening. Since I saw him get tagged and run about 3 or 4 fights ago, I just don't feel he has what it takes. Once again, just an opinion.

I've watched a number of Dirrell's fights and he is a very impressive boxer in terms of speed and skill, and he uses his height and speed to keep the fight right where he wants it. However his chin has shown to be shaky even against some lesser opposition, it will be interesting to see how it holds up against the top tier guys

 

I just don't think Dirrell has the focus to beat several consecutive world class opponents. He drifts too much mentally.

Ward is a different kettle of fish. He lacks Dirrell's handspeed and power, but his professionalism is very impressive. And given the lack of tuneups, etc., a Hatton-type fighter never could survive this sort of format intact.

 

yeah, i got dirrell as my front runner as of now. too much speed and ability for froch, and maybe he can emulate a stronger, faster calzaghe against kessler.

Dirrell has great skills but who has he fought to make you think he will win this tournament ?

 

Dirrell has been on my mind as well. Physically he could pull this off, in terms of everything else there's no telling.

Also, people are patently understating how fast his hands are.
