This is the least fighter i want to win the tournament, the guy is to cocky and trash talker and is boring as hell to watch.

I have to agree, just checked out a few of his recent fights again and my word it reminded me of why he's such a fantastic prospect, the kid can bang with either hand, has a very good jab, has brilliant speed and footwork and is very good fighting while backing up, not to mention his technical skills and reach, i think he's gonna give Froch hell to be honest, if he's on his game i think he beats Froch and with confidence gained he'll be very hard to beat, Ward is also gonna be very tough, the people expecting the stationary europeans to clean up will get a major surpise when it all kicks off imo.

But he has a unique talent. A very intelligent and athletic fighter.

He is definitely my dark horse. I cannot pick him as favorite right out because he hasn't proven it yet, but I am really high on him.

I don't know about his personality though.

Oh, his hand speed is right up there with ANYONE in boxing right now. It's unreal.

But yeah, the physical part is one thing but there are the intangibles like chin, durability, determination, heart, etc that also matter. How will he respond to adversity? He hasn't been tested yet.

Let's not forget the Stevens fight a few years ago when he ran like a girl. He can't do that again.

Dirrell is the joker in the pack. I'm not underestimating him at all. Just because he's done little does not mean he is incapable.

Many fighters have shown shaky chins at the starts of thier careers, alot of times its due to getting hit with clean shots that as they get better then no longer get hit with. Other times its due to not have respect for the guy that they are fighting...Oscar was knocked down several times, Tito was down alot. Pac was knockedout. But those things went away as the level of the guys that they fought got higher.

Now having said that I agree with you, I think that for Both Dirrell and Ward if thier chins hold up they will be hard for the other fighter to beat. In fact, I think the one of those two that holds up will win the whole thing. Should both be able to handle the power they meet twice the second being in the finals

Steven will be a force as well, he just blasted an unbeatten fighter the other day. However I think that Dirrell could beat AA and Froch with that same type of fight. He didnt just ran, he also landed more punches then the other guy:hey:good

I think Dirrell will find his way into the semi-finals although I'm not sure if he's gonna win the whole deal.

I'd say it'll be Dirrell, Abraham, Kessler and Ward with Kess and Ward in the finals. Problem is it's SOOOOOOOO ****ing early, it's nearly impossible to predict so many fights ahead.

It might be from when he "apparently" trashed on Joe Calzaghe.

I honestly predict that there will be atleast one replacement fighter in this tournament. I think that its too much to ask that six fighters can make it though that many fights without one being hurt. Kessler has a long history of injuries, one of which is his back, and anyone with a back injury can atest to, they dont really go away.

I tend to hold the same view. Probably the biggest question mark for Dirrell is how he'll respond to truly elite competition; we'll find out soon enough. If he shows the ability to pass muster, then I feel picking him to win the whole thing is quite reasonable.

I agree which begs the question...what if somebody steps in on the 3rd fight?

I mean does that mean the fighter coming in would inherit the other guys point count?
