At the end of the BT sport press conference Deontay brought up Tyson's split with Peter, which is probably the only way to get under Tyson's skin. It was words to the effect of: "you best get Peter back in your corner, boy".

Speculation is that either Tyson got rid of Peter as Peter was training Haye and also taking too large a cut from Tyson, or that Peter was always going to leave Tyson to be trained by his dad when he got out of prison. Either way, there is no denying that Peter was instrumental in helping Tyson beat Klit and the new combination of young Ben Davidson and Tyson's dad is unproven.

If anything can raise doubts in Tyson's mind it is this. That being said, my pick is still Fury to feint, move, slip and slide his way to a boxing masterclass UD12

Peter comes across as an honourable decent man, I cant see it being money unless it was Tyson starting to get tight. I think it was more to do with his attitude and swerving the drug test. He really does need Peter, Wilder is right, I don't think his Dad is capable of the job

Rumour is because Tyson fell out with Hughie.

That looked by far the most effective thing that Deontay said, in part by twisting the kni in a family dispute that he Furys will want to keep private but also because it's most likely true. Peter Fury exudes an authority that Ben Davison doesn't come close to.

It may be a little unfair, who know just how good Davison is or can eventually be, but at the moments from the outside, however much Fury has recovered of his physical attributes he will go into the LA fight with an inferior corner.

That comment definitely got to Fury, his attitude appeared to change for a moment when he said it

I deny that Uncle Meth was instrumental. Here's an essay about it.

What real proof is there he 'made' Fury? What is his coaching record before lucking out with one of the most talented fighters? Training Hughie? It's something, but a tiny sample. Tyson's skill sets were not developed by Uncle Meth, who basically got a finished product and just put the foot down. Tyson went through numerous coaches in his formative years. Don't forget he was being rated very highly long before Peter Peddler came along.

People need to go revisit the corner advice Meth gave Tyson in the Klitschko fight which was amateurish and borderline insane and you could see Tyson thinking 'wtf' when Meth tried to shrug off the threat of Wlad's all time great left hook. Tyson won that fight despite his uncle not because of him.

If you watch closely you'll see that Peter is a massively dangerous influence because he sells overconfidence to the fighter. Fury does have insecurities despite his bravado and looks for advice in fights and you've got this mong telling him everyone is a journeyman and/or an easy fight because of his skills. I'm sure people can see that in the Hughie context too.

Furthermore, Uncle Meth is supposed to be famous for the discipline he enforced yet Fury was still doing a fat camp every fight (or fighting fat like against Abel) and it was under guardianship of the master of methological studies that Fury went completely AWOL for the ages, one of the greatest meltdowns EVER SEEN in the sport.
Remember when Meth had no idea Fury was out doing coke on the party scene? It was some surprise to him? What the hell kind of strict regime is that then? The truth is that under Davison this fighter has never been more dedicated and for such a long period. So there goes the famous myth of Meth's strong guidance and control over Tyson.

Lastly, the great wise Uncle, due to his old career destroying the lives of British teens, is a nightmare for an international fighter because he needs special visa exemptions to get into any foreign land and can potentially be denied entry. Imagine having that problem every fight you make.

The funniest thing would be if Fury beats Wilder and gets the Juice fight, denying Meth a fortune in rake. That would burn. And I think Tyson knows this and wants to twist the knife for whatever went down.

Major league drug dealer, mainly dealing in amphetamines for decades, jailed for 10 years for it in 1995 and was again jailed for 2 years in 2008 for drug related money laundering.

Ill go out on a limb as to why I think Tyson and Peter split. P.Fury was pumping Tyson, Hughie and Young Fury full of steriods. The imbalance of hormones is partly to blame for T.Fury going off the rails, mentally. Thus T.Fury wanted a change in his comeback and blames P.Fury for damage to his reputation, hence the split. Wilder stating he needs Peter back is a cheap jibe saying Fury would need steriods to be able to beat him.

They split because Fury went off the rails so many times and Peter just got pissed off with it. Fury didn't plan his comeback, it happened naturally after a bit of training with Ben. Fury enjoyed working with Ben and decided to stick with him. Not much else to it.

Mentioning peter is not the only way to get under fury’s skin. The guy is constantly agitated and wound up, he’s mentally unstable so everything seems to get under his skin, even someone else getting the slightest bit of praise.

He’s probably the most mentally weak heavyweight of all time, perhaps barring Oliver Mcall.

These caravan folk get real salty about blood feuds. That's where Deontay needs to strike.
