This fight went pretty much the way I predicted, with Froch winning handily, AA losing his way and only really having a punchers chance had Froch got sloppy.

There are so many intangibles in predicting the outcome of fights but hats off to bailey who got it right, and not only that but narrowed down a lot of those intangibles to give good reasoning behind his prediction, most of which I agreed with myself.

Respect to those who called it wrong and came back to hold their hands up to that or give views on the fight also.

Credit also to mcnamai for putting his neck on the block and giving his reasoning behind his prediction of an easy AA victory, he'll probably be back in here once he's climbed out of the massive hole he dug himself but I give him some respect for at least explaining his prediction, despite how wrong it turned out to be.

See you in the next prediction thread guys. :)

    Your prediction was correct. Congratulations.

As one of AA's fans I've to admit that he was a big letdown yesterday. To be honest I really think he has no business in the Super Six any longer. He was more inactive than ever and didn't risk anything. It looked like he was scared to trade with Froch.

Froch on the other hand did a very good job. He didn't stop punching, seemed to be in top shape and used his jab very effectively.

I don't want to take anything away from Froch, but Abraham isn't the fighter who fought Miranda with a broken jaw anymore. His braveness and toughness seems to have vanished. Also, he seems not to be capable of increasing his punch output.

When there were rumours about a possible AA vs. Kelly Pavlik fight at 160, Boo told everyone that AA is tailor-made for Pavlik, because Pavlik is (was?) a relentless volume puncher. If I take the version of AA which fought Froch yesterday, Boo is correct. However, the "old" Abraham would have risked more like he did last night.

To sum it up - I don't think that it is the better opposition (Dirrell, Froch) alone which makes AA look bad. He also seems to have lost his fighting spirit and toughness. The current version of AA is only a shadow of the version which fought Miranda, Eastman, Ikeke.

Some people just cant accept when they have been proven wrong. You are just one of those people.
You see I called so many things before they happen. The amount of times ive read someone call Abraham a hype job today is unreal. But when I said he could get found as a hype job if Froch clearly beats him, some scoffed, but not today

Fantastic prediction bailey. You have firmly proved you belong amongst the ESB Elite and you can now consider yourself to be an ESB Titan. :deal

This has to rank up there with my prediction that Paul Williams is a KO waiting to happen.

    Salutations. :bbb:deal

Good call but hardly worthy of so much bragging.

Oh and your hype job list should be renamed "fighters I hate because I have no respect for the sport of boxing."

I respect and admire all fighters, but as you know, words like Eurobum, Ameribum and Hype job exist on these forums, and some fighters get brutally exposed.
But your right, it was a good call, to go along with my predictions of Martinez beating Williams and Pascal beating Dawson.

Who did you like to win in the Hatton/Mayweather scrap of a few years ago?

    Because I'm sensing a pattern.

Your picks don't seem to be based on boxing analysis, but rather on the fighter's nationality. If he's British, he's good. If he's American he's bad.

That's not going to take you very far in the long run.

(Did you by any chance have the British red-coats over the rag-tag American revolutionary army)?

I have a hunch that you did.

I bet on Maywheather to win by KO at 4-1. Never liked Hatton, hated his style and always felt he was a protected fighter on the way up
