You make some good and interesting points, but Froch was a Bronze world amateur champ and did once have decent skills before becoming a limited brawler. I think Froch is going to show some of those old skills, by using a strong jab and landing some of those big looping shots you note. I think those shots will at some time make AA lower his guard earlier than usual, and thats where I think Froch will start to land

Wise decision Bailey :good I also have Froch winning a decision against Abraham but...let me guess....unfortunately, you probably also believe that Marcus Beyer would beat Carl Froch if he was fighting him...:D

I've got Froch by UD. But that still wouldn't mean he should be ahead of Pacquiao, Mayweather, Martinez, Marquez or Klitschko on the P4P list.

Hoping.. really hoping Froch remains disciplined and puts a boxing clinic. For once for Christ's sake dont drop your guard low and do not expose your chin too much. Just box, just be defensive, just run when in trouble. Put on a stinker fight nobody cares. Just frustrate Abraham then he panics and doesn't know what to do.

I agree. I think Froch beats Abraham this weekend too. I think the most likely scenario is that he outslugs Abraham down the stretch but he might very well end up stretching Arthur while he's at it.

Styles make fights. I like Froch as a fighter, but he can sometimes be limited. Beyer was a very good boxer mover when he new he had to be. It was when Beyer was too confident that he tended to lose. D Green was a fighter similar to Froch, only Green was a bigger puncher and faster, yet Beyer was able to survive the rocky patches and outbox him.
So yes I think Beyer would outpoint Froch, but if Froch caught an over confident Beyer it could be Frochs night, but I dont think Beyer would take chances against Froch and win a decision.
Look at how after Beyer beat undefeated Green, Green went on to become a world rated CW and has KOd Jones and Briggs (who gave Adamek 2 hard fights) and beat undefeated B J Flores.
    You get it now :good

Yep. Taylor was KOd by hype job Pavlik, then outpointed by Pavlik, then KOd by Froch and KOd by Abraham.
I like Taylor, he had a style that Hopkins couldnt adapt to (Hopkins had a weakness against fighters his own size who had fast hands), Taylor defended against Wright also (I felt Taylor won), but then he started looking fortunate to some against Spinks etc

Usually I disagree with bailey, but I also think Froch will win but it would a close encounter.

Dirrell was able to push AA around, and that was because Dirrell is a natural SMW.

And Froch man handled Dirrell physically in their fight, and is stronger than Dirrell Physically.

AA usually goes at his opponent in the later rounds, when his opponent is tired and AA is relatively fresh. But Froch stays there full 12 rounds and has the better workrate of the 2.

Still this would be a good close fight.

Sorry but Froch was already exposed by the worst and wounded version of Kessler and by Dirrel as a very limited but somewhat determined fighter.

    That's it!
