I have a feeling Carl Froch will win this quite handily tonight, Abraham doesn't put in enough work and Froch has good stamina reserves, I think Abraham will have lost his way by the mid-to-late rounds although I guess he does have a punchers chance if Froch gets sloppy.
How many times have I proven you wrong? Too many to remember. I proved that Erdei has a good resume. But lets put this to the test again. AA hasnt beaten anyone of real note. Agree or disagree? If he beats Froch, I will give him props, for beating a big world class SMW, but if Froch beats him convincingly, then AA will be found as a hype job, as Froch isnt the most gifted of fighters and AA hasnt beaten any top world class fighters. Not to mention AA is heavily hyped because of the S6. So lets put it to the test
A post in answer to someone else, but you get the point Lastletter. It was another time I proved you wrong
I think Abraham should win it but would not be suprised if Froch did.Abraham looked awful against Dirrel and that could have an effect on him mentally. He is also under pressure to start the fight faster, this is something he has never really done before so it will be interesting to see how he holds up if the fight goes on a while.I still think he will win but there are a lot of positives for Froch going into the fight.
Dirrell is much faster than Abraham though. He was able to get off on his shell and get out. Just like Pacquiao did to Clottey. Froch is going to have a much tougher time getting off and getting out. This works to Abraham's favor like most do not understand. He looks for the openings and if he is in step to range he's going to take it. Froch is a lot closer to Miranda than he is Dirrell, physically and stylistically. I think Abraham and much earlier than the house 11 1/2 rounds.
Is Taylor a proven super middle or a hypejob? In your estimation if Froch beats AA, 3 of his best wins will have been against hype jobs, is that right?
that previously kod taylor ur talking about was beating froch on the scorecards and and williams and jacobs arent hypejobs becuase they lost to good fighters
Arthur Abraham @ near evens is one of the best bets I have seen in some time. The fight will take place in Finland, and Sauerland are promoting the fight. IF this fight goes to points and I sincerely doubt it will, then it will be extremely difficult for Froch to get a decision. For that reason alone I am amazed AA is not -200. If this goes to the cards, Froch aint winning (ala Kessler in Denmark). People seem to forget this is essentially a hometown fight for AA... Stylewise, I think Froch is perfect for Abraham. He leaves his head out there to be hit and that is a recipe for disaster against Abraham. Froch has a good chin, but realistically who has he fought that has a murderous punch? AA has sick power in both hands and while I don't think he will KO Froch early, I think eventually his power will wear Froch down and he will get a brutal late KO. I know some people think Froch can box on the outside against Abraham. I am not buying that for a second. Andre Dirrell, Froch is not. I have no doubt that will be Froch's gameplan. Jab from the outside and try pile up the early rounds. I am sure he will win a few of those rounds using these tactics, BUT Froch's biggest problem is not his jab (which is not a bad weapon) it's his footwork. The guy does not have the footwork to keep AA off him for too long. I think AA will start quicker than in previous fights (or he will certainly try) and his gameplan will be simple. Drag Froch into a war. Froch is too stupid (he lacks boxing acumen) to avoid this scenario (no matter what his trainer says to him) and he will play right into Abraham's hands. I truly believe this will be Carl Froch's last fight. I think he will never be the same after the beat down he is about to receive. I would question his hunger (from interviews I have seen/read and general body language and demeanour. He has made enough money to live a secure life. He is a new father and I think deep down he knows he can't beat Andre Ward. Abraham on the other hand is a true warrior, he has better hand speed, better footwork, bigger puncher and harder chin. Froch lossing his 0 will have a serious effect on him mentally and I swore I would fade him huge as soon as this happened. Add to the fact, as far as judging goes this may as well be in Germany and this is just beyond a tasty bet. Can Froch win? Of course. There is not a huge amount of difference in class between them, but at these odds and when you condiser all the variabiles that come into play for this fight, King Arthur represents amazing value at these odds. Take it....
Froch has power. BUT when you look at his record against world level opponets he has 1 KO. That was a late stoppage against a totally gassed Taylor. Andre Dirrell said he wasn't impressed with Froch's power. I have no doubt AA hit's harder than Froch. I don't believe Froch has a one punch power as mentioned by Rich above. Froch SHOULD try box from the outisde. I think he will do this effectively for 3 rounds. The second AA connects, his game plan will go out the window. Froch simply does not have the ring intelligence/IQ, Balance and footwork to keep this on the outside for more than 4 rounds. This is his only chance to win the fight and in my heart of hearts I just don't think he is capable of doing this. I just can't see him KOing Arthur Abraham. This guy fought with a broken jaw against an Edison Miranda in his prime and that guy could hit...
Froch backers believe he can avoid AA for most of the fight and box clever from the outside. His trainer Robert McCracken will drill this into him. Don't fight this guy, don't fight this guy. AA backers believe 1) Froch is not technically good enough to outbox Abraham for 12 rounds and that AA will win because he will land the clearer more eye catching shots and he will be the aggressor for the whole fight, Even if Froch fights more effectively from the outside then I expect him too, I still think it will be extremely tough to get a decision in Finland. Arthur is a huge star on mainland Europe. He is popular and well liked. Froch is the opposite. I think he is going to be surprised just how much support AA will have come fight night. Froch once said I will not fight East of Nottingham. Come the end of the fight he will regret not sticking to his guns... 2) Froch's ego. He thinks of himself as a warrior. When a warrior is told he can't out fight someone, he goes out to prove them wrong. As soon as the phoney war is over and AA connects big (and he will) Froch will be lured into the trenches. Once in there, he aint coming out. There is no middleweight/Super middleweight/light heavyweight that can take Arthur Abraham in a all out war. This guy is one of the toughest SOBs to ever lace a pair of boxxing gloves. Froch is going to find out the hard way Saturday
