If Ortiz some how wins, should Floyd retire for good without risking a 2nd loss? Or should he go after Manny to make up for it?

Yup, Ortiz really isn't that good. I wouldn't consider him any better than Clottey was when he was coming off a fight he could have won against Cotto. I don't think Ortiz would have beaten Margarito or Cotto either.

Wrong!!!! Fight was already in the works and ready to go. They signed the fight 4 days after the Mosley fight on May 11,2011!!!

Hungry lion? He beat a weak champion who hurt him on occasions. Ortiz is now this big time talker, but I bet he will give Floyd way too much respect during the fight. He will get schooled and then stopped. His second fight a WW and it is with the best or second best at WW. Well, at least he is going to fight which he is always entertaining. How long will this go on until he and Pac fight. Oh, when Pac finally loses, then he will take the challenge.

    Marquez set to sign contract

    May 18th, 2011
    Posted in Latest News

LOS ANGELES — Mexican counter-puncher Juan Manuel Marquez is due anytime here to finalize the contract for his planned Nov. 12 rubber match with Filipino star Manny Pacquiao.
Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum said on Monday that Marquez is arriving with his lawyer to have the contract for the Pacquiao fight signed after Golden Boy Promotions (GBP) did not match Top Rank’s offersheet.
Marquez had given GBP to match Top Rank’s mouth-watering offer until Monday afternoon and the Oscar De La Hoya-owned outfit apparently was unable to make a counter-offer that would keep Marquez from going elsewhere.
    ........................

Mayweather had time to open his mouth and say something...unless he only find the urge to come back and fight after Pac signed on with JMM.

I agree with you except that Martinez was the most dangerous fight, but you can't fault him for not going up 2 weight classes when he's never came in a weigh in over 150

I'm way more impressed with Ortiz!!

Less than 2 years ago, everyone thought he was gonna fade away, now he's getting the most money he could possibly make. Big up yourself Ortiz!! It was fun rooting for you while you were around, I'll never forget that time you beat Berto!

Lol you honestly believe he has never come in over 150 ? What a joke ..

He hasn't given his fight night weight for years , and is noticeably bigger than he used to be.

Its easy to criticize,But its another thing to prove critics wrong. Thats what Ortiz did when he went all out against Berto, perhaps he needed to be knockdown to prove to himself and others that he has put the Maidana fight behind him, and that he isnt a quitter anymore.

Im more than convinced that Ortiz will give his 100% effort against Mayweather, i wouldnt be surprised if he won at least 3 rounds
