^^^That wouldn't make sense Freddy cause lets say he retired undefeated without facing Forrest, many will be saying Mosley is like Dougles that only beat 1 great fighter thats it. And Mosley wasn't a draw so it he couldn't do that. And it's not full of ****. Who was out there for Mosley beside Forrest and Wright back then?

AGREED! Freddy Shane ****ed the fans when he didnt take the fight in 2006..In 2006 i thought it was gonna go down..Mayweather looked for Mosley in 2006 and Mosley didnt want it

Floyd does need to fight him but Pac is a bigger fight and Floyd will fight Pac first...Which is smarter business too!

"necessity"....what the hell does he need, the man is a proven ATG, and a millionaire who has never showed an ounce of greed.....how about this, he's doing it to prove that he's a real fighter, while others are proving they are just business men with talent......

Mosley is the man pure and simple. Say what you will about the steroids thing but IMO young boxers should set out to be like him in terms of the risk he takes.

    Shane Mosely
    Oscar DeLaHoya
    Winky Wright

Yep, they all took some losses, but you would have a rough time finding 3 guys who faced more top level opponents in recent years.

mosley stepped aside for his boss, that's understandable......if may had to choose between sugar and golden boy, he would've taken oscar anyways....so shane just saved himself the headache

^^^^^Thats bull**** freddy. I'm sick and tired of dummys believing that the reason Mosley turn down a Mayweather fight cause Mosley don't want to get in Oscar (his boss as you say) way. Thats just a stupid excuse. Oscar vs Mayweather could have happen in sept of 06 but Oscar change his mind so Mayweather wanted an opponent and the first person he wanted was Mosley. If Mosley wanted to step aside for De la hoya then why Mosley said "Mayweather needs to fight Margarito first before fighting me."? And Oscar signed to fight Mayweather at the end of december of 06 if i remember correctly. The De la hoya vs Mayweather talk was back after Mayweather beat Baldimor not after Mosley tko Vargas.

Freddy, just a few months ago Mosley said he wasn't interested in fighting Berto or Williams. He stated that he only wanted big money fights and that he would rather sit idle and wait on the Pacquiao/Hatton winner than to fight those guys. If he was simply about proving he's a real fighter why would he do this? The reality of the situation is that he hasn't fought in almost a year. HBO isn't going to hold a date for him for too long without him having an opponent. Not only that, but he is going to be a healthy favorite against Berto. You think people would be praising Mayweather if he decided to fight Berto? Hell, no. They would say he was cherrypicking a paper champion. Mosley is a good fighter, but he's no different than most fighters. He's looking for the biggest payday, and he's admitted as much. He would never fight Berto if he had other viable options.

:rofl:lol:...No, actually I was...I was just answering your question...Maybe I should have been a little bit more specific.

I was basically saying that Margorito wouldnt fight Williams if they didnt threat to strip him...hence the :-(.

    Get it now?

Exactly. A few months later Mosley said he's not like Pacquiao, Mayweather, Cotto that is looking for big money fights while he already admit he's looking for big money fights. I don't understand why many here are blind by Mosley actions.

Yo rudy you might disagree with me on this one. When Mosley fought Forrest, did Mosley have other options of a big fight if he didn't fought Forrest? Back in that time Oscar was either busy singing or fighting at junior middleweight while Trinidad was fighting at middleweight tournament. And lets say Trinidad was available on that time, Would Mosley still fought Forrest instead of Trinidad?
