Man, I've been reading these threads for the past week or so; it seems like 80% of posters are going with cotto. I'm a huge Cotto fan, but I think Mosley might get the better of him on Saturday. Mosley has the power to hurt Cotto with one hand, and if he follows it up with a combination, he may lay Cotto down. While Cotto has strength, youth, and maybe even ring intelligence on his side, Mosley has the experience, size AND the speed advantage... I wouldn't count Mosley out, but I really hope everyone else is right... Right now, I'd take Mosley in 9:scaredas:
People just seem to go with there favorites rather than using there head and judgement to make a decision on the outcome of this fight. Mosley is all wrong for Cotto point blank.
Go watch Mosley-Estrada, Mosley-Cruz, and Mosley-Vargas I and you'll feel a lot better. I think people are being fooled by Shane's performances against a shop worn, weight drained Vargas and an injured Luis Collazo. In the Cruz fight, Emmanuel Steward said Shane looked like "an old fighter." It's not a coincidence that Shane's best performances in recent years were against opponents who weren't at their best.
I think this fight is going to be punishing for both fighters- these fighters don't take a backwards step- a knockout within the first 3 rds is highly possible.
i'm picking shane. i think he will hurt cotto and be able to finish him unlike some of the lesser fighters that have hurt him.
maybe your local cable channel will show that. it's a big fight and they ought to show it. if not, you can watch on the internet. SOPcast. :good
