Lets all hope this will be the last time he gets a title shot vs. one of the ABC belts. Honestly, I don't even think Wlad would KO him....let alone Haye. Its not due to chin, its due to styles..... Tua defiantly couldn't do a repeat for sure. This man, ever since his ass whipping by Tua in less than 1 min, changed his whole aspect in boxing. He learned new tricks to not only survive troubling situations from when getting attacked aggressively (like in the Tua fight), but to create a whole brand new style around it. After that brutal KO he suffered, he quickly adapted to this style and abandoned his old aggressive style. He knows his weakness and he trys his best to keep it at bay, which is something Norman Stone has tought him a lot. All of his fights are just grab fests. Ruiz is a decision fighter. I still remember when he fought Andrew Golota, who has a history of struggling in the first few rounds (Lewis, Tyson) and Ruiz came out calm in the first and tried to reverse to his aggressive style from long ago in Round 2, cause he knew Golota is a slow starter. He left himself open with his silly and face palm worthy attacks and got dropped, twice. This content is protected It seriously amazes me how many titles shots this man has had over the years. How the **** does this happen? Who ****ing pays to watch this ****? Americans don't wanna claim him, and neither do the Ricans. What kind of money does Ruiz generate from the public? How is he getting title shots in USA, Germany, and now England.......? 95%, if not more, of the people who watch John Ruiz fights, are watching it because of the opponent he is facing, not him. Im sick of this mother ****er.
Ruiz gets title shots because of his CONNECTIONS to powerful promoters. That's what got him the free pass for his illegal holding tactics all these years too, and the ridiculous gift decision against Golota. Any boxing fan who believes that boxers should get titles based on ability not on connections should be offended by the DISGRACE Ruiz has brought to the HW division all these years. Hopefully, Haye will end this scandal in brutal fashion.
agreed. if ever there was an example of where boxing is going wrong, it is the on going career of John Ruiz. Are these people seriously trying to tell me that in a population of billions, he is one of the very top fighters at heavyweight in the world? **** off. He isn't. it's a disgrace.
That is true. King is a skumbag promoting this bore-fest of a fighter. What also amazes me about the gift he got vs. Golota, is that it wasn't even a MD or even a SD...it was a Unanimous Decision for Ruiz!! Not 1 judge had Golota winning that fight, which no doubt he did win. True. Unfortunately, I can't see Haye KOing Ruiz imo. Unless Ruiz got a deal with the promoters of the fight to finally end this terror train. What also pisses me off, is the fact that Golden Boy signed Ruiz.... /facepalm
Ruiz is past it now but he would have whipped Haye in his Prime. Haye should win this in 2 if he does not want the world to laugh at the effort. He should be fighting Klitschko, not a washed up old warrior.
