To all the Wlad fans saying Haye is not very good, has beaten no one, poor footwork, Glass Jaw etc.

Be careful. If Haye knocks Wlad out, what will that make Wlad? :hey

Or will it be another "Wlad was drugged" or "lucky punch"?:rofl:patsch

You make him out to be some sort of comic character like the Flash or an X-man or maybe you believe he vanishes in thin air and materializes behind opponents' backs like some Subzero from Mortal Combat :rofl

Here's your super elusive Davey boy getting hit with every punch in the book by an old featherfisted midget in Fragomeni:

Although he didn't have a big punch Chris Byrd was plenty fast and hugely elusive too.
It won't be the stunning speed of Haye so much that'll make Wlad miss, but apprehension because of the punch of Haye.

What I don't get about people who say Haye is soooo much better than Wlad's previous opponents...doesn't this work much more the other way around??

What is the bigger difference in ability, Chambers, Chagaev compared to Haye or Valuev, Ruiz compared to Wlad? Wlad's best wins are probably Byrd, Brock, Chagaev, Chambers, Peter. Haye's best are Fragomeni, Mormeck, Valuev, Ruiz. For whom is it the bigger step up in competition?

I think Wlad's jab is key. If he just throws it out there at the same speed all night, then perhaps Haye can time it. On the other hand, if he varies up the pace and whether or not he follows up with his right, I can see him being able to take control. For example, if Haye starts to time Wlad's jab, Wlad could try and mix things up by throwing a slower jab followed by a fast right, or else maybe doubling up the jab. Hooking off the jab would might also be an option.

With regards to Haye's footwork, I don't think it's terrible, but he does sometimes leave himself off balance and I think Wlad's good enough to make him pay if that happens. I'd like to see Wlad throw in an uppercut or too, as well, if Haye starts rushing in. Wlad just needs to be careful not to brawl with Haye. While both of them have power, I think Wlad would be better off wearing Haye down for the first few rounds before trying to knock him out.

If Haye had decent durability, I would pick him easily. He is more mobile, can use angles and his good reflexes would throw Wlad off completely. But, Haye is just as fragile as Wlad, and when you are the smaller man, that is not good. So, while Haye has a decent chance, I still think Wlad is the favourite. Haye needs to fight a perfect fight to win.

its not all that hard to land on wlad tbh,not when someone has speed and footwork.

also with haye's power, wlad will panic and get stopped.

Haye is so overrated. Power and speed overrated. His footwork is horrible, his defense is non existent. He does not own 1 punch KO power. Haye is fuct IF he brings himself to step in, I don't see it happening, there is a reason he has avoided a legit heavyweight challenge so far.

Couldn't have summed it up any better. :good:good

David Haye is nothing but a FRAUD & con artist. He's a good salesman.
