Say what? How many times has Wlad eaten a solid shot in the past 6 years? The man does everything he can to protect that chin from hapless opposition. He knows how to protect it against big, slow guys AND small guys who should be fighting at Cruiserweight alike. Ibragimov has speed and footwork. You can clearly see that the huge size difference was what worked against him vs Wlad. Ibragimov could not overcome the size difference against his much larger, but very tentative opponent. Not his fault the fight sucked, being the smaller man. Wlad was suppose to press the issue and impose his will, but he didn't.
So true. I understand Wlad is at risk of being ambushed by a fast, accurate combination attack from Haye. I am willing to admit that while still rooting for Wlad. What I wonder is why some Haye fans are absolutely unable to admit that Haye's defense is total **** and his alleged "elusiveness" is largely a myth. Fragomeni, Mormeck, Barrett heck even a 38 year old John f'kin Ruiz were able to land their feather punches on Haye. But Wlad whose timing, accuracy and technical ability are leagues above anyone Haye has ever fought will have trouble finding target? Oh please :deal
Haye is the first opponent for Wlad in years that will have the physical tools to be able to get inside on Wlad and cause some damage. That being said... Haye is facing a real Heavyweight now, and one of the hardest punching HWs ever.. Haye must get inside and do something early... he won't avoid Wlad's power all night long. And I would be very surprised if Haye eats a Wlad 1-2 and takes it well... I imagine him getting hurt bad by the first power shot that lands... whether its a left hook or straight right.
Lol...a 50/50 fight, come the **** on man. I understand you are a Haye fan and there's nothing wrong with that, but 50/50?
I hope that Haye will pounce on Wlad so that we can see another second round KO. Wlad will then be honored with KO of the Year award.
Yes it works both ways, but then again Wlad is the clear betting favorite and most people think he will win. So point it out is stating the obvious.
