I'm sorry but Felix Trinidad = one the most overrated fighters in recent history.

    10 welterweight
Leonard, Hearns, Ray Robinson, Henry Armstrong, Napoles, Benitez, Gavilan, Basilio, Griffith, Palomino

Also think prime Whitaker beats him IMO

    But Trinidad is very close

Still manage to get 10 pages of comments here. That only, is evidence Tito was great. Of course there were better that Tito, but he was a great fighter. Not a lot of fancy movements, but a heart as big as the island.

IMO he is overated but only over 147.

At welterweight he is a monster.

Tito was great. He was a big puncher with excellent technique. His resume is impressive. i do not think this is even debatable.

"Overrated" is so objective. Who's doing the rating?

I love Trinidad. Watched all his fights...but what were his biggest wins? Vargas? Joppy? Old Sweet Pea on the decline?

Head to head I'd also pick Starling and Duran over Trinidad.

I think Trinidad against the Whitaker of 93-94 would be an interesting fight. Whitaker was a brilliant boxer but naturally smaller than Trinidad. Tito's accurate selective punching, especially the straight right hand, would enable him to enjoy some good moments but I still think he drops a competitive decision to Pea.

Oscar clearly and easily outboxed Tito and if is wasn't for Don King's judges Oscar would never have lost by split decision, even Tito was surprised by the Don King decision.............
