Im starting to change my opinion regarding team Burns

OK, I hear ya Gatti my good man. In a perfect world, Burns keeps fighting, keeps winning, the fight gets bigger & bigger, the fans foaming at the mouth in anticipation... summer blockbuster, alex Morrison demanding a cool million & getting two... all us Burns fans here sitting watching on boxnation or on a shaky internet live feed in the wee small hours in our **** stained white underpants cos its summer...

BUT!(you knew there was going to be one of those, didnt you?)

This is boxing. What if Burns gets beat in his next fight? What if Broner gets beat in his? Its the mother of ALL opportunities missed for Ricky Burns.
Im only going clean off my head with rage cos I cant believe this opportunity is being passed up. Scotty Harrison passed up a monster fight against Marquez many moons ago, & look what happened there. Marquez is a legend now, & Harrison? if it wasnt for me talking about him here from time to time he would already be long forgotten. If Scotty had beaten Marquez? Imagine how big a name he would be now.

Now Ricky is in the same boat, & I dont want to see the same outcome. I dont want to see history repeating itself. Thing is, Broner is a BIGGER fight now than Marquez was when scotty was offered the chance to fight him. Thats whats making me so mad!!!

Thats the thing Sikeside, I do have faith in Burns ability. I KNOW he can beat Broner. I KNOW he will beat Broner. I KNOW Billy Nelson would throw Ricky in with Broner tomorrow, cos he knows that Ricky will beat the hypejob too.

However, team Burns are making a royal arse of this one. Alex Morrison talking loud & saying nothing, Ricky himself unavailable for comment, nothing from uncle Frank either, its a PR disaster for the Rickster. Broner is doing more damage to Rickys career right now with his big mouth than he could ever do in the ring with his punches!

Irony at its most delicious right there.

Hes even banging on about Ricky ready to fight "anyone" in late January in Glasgow, does he think we are all ****ing mugs? Like we are all going to plod along & dig deep into our pockets to see Burns fight A.N other after Morrison blocked a unification superfight???
