I started to dislike GBP when they tried to fool Pacquiao with a suitcase full of 20 dollar bills... If it was full of Benjamins, then it would have been another story...

I dislike GBP too for having a jinx on their newly signed boxers/prospects... Look at Barrera, Ponce De Leon, Ortiz, Kirkland to name a few...

Marquez got a good pay day. He's a warrior and I'm sure it hurt him to lose, but I'm sure him and his family are happy about the money. It was a good move (I think). Marquez is still a great fighter. He didn't even get "ruined" or anything in this fight.

disagree with you scar. GBP didn't complain that FLoyd came in 2 pounds overweight. Marquez would have been f*cked twice if he pulled the lights out on the show over 2 pounds. Oscar never said anything bad about Floyd not making the weight. Hopkins keeps trying to mug for the camera. These guys are self promoting hacks. They should have been more vocal about having their fighter losing the last thing that should have kept this fight even. the weigh in disparity.

Don King is a crook but I liked the way he worked for his fighters after their controversial bouts ended. ie Campbell and Barrerarerrrrraa

 

King promotes Valuev who gets gift decisions after gift decisions. Say you will about De la hoya promotions but who has take their own promoters to court more times De la hoya? or King? hmmm :think

 

Having to listen to a corny geek like De La Hoya give speeches over and over again is enough alone to turn me off.

And lets get something clear, the real reason Tyson is bankrub is cause of Don King. Don King is known to screwing fighters many times. In which is why most fighters that been with King sue him and take him to court. Right now in the present how come we haven't heard of Barrera after he lost to Khan? Oh cause King is ignoring him.

I like Don King as a promoter. He really does know how to promote a fight and put on a supreme card.

GBP is about self promotion and poaching talent from other promotions.

I predict Marquez will jump off this sinking ship in a couple of months. Followed by Shane if he doesn't get a fight with Mayweather.
