Nonsense. Whoever Pacquiao fights will attract people, doesn't matter who his opponent is really. I didn't see him make similar claims before fighting Clottey.

He's at an age where many fighters say that. Not to mention he has a career after. Not everyone feels the need to say something controversail to sell a fight.

Thats the problem with Pacquiao having taken this Bradley fight.
Its not going to do well in PPV buys imo.

If it does'nt do well, then Mayweather has even more bargaining leverage and a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight is less likely to be made.

Though if you really think about it, this is exactly what Arum and Pacquiao both may want.

I don't think so. The dude is so active outside of boxing - he's a religious activist and a congressman. Now he has three occupations, and now that he's 33 and has been through many wars, the end of the road is getting much clearer for him. I've said this before, and I'll say it again, I just don't think he fights for his own sake anymore. For the past 2 years, I think he's been doing solely for his fans. There's no fire that burns in his eyes anymore.

I think Pacquiao talking about retirement after this fight is an indication that he might not be as motivated for Bradley as he would somebody like Mayweather or Marquez.
