Remember when people argued that he was a special fighter in this forum lol. I been saying it since he was undefeated that he was nothing special People in this forum sometimes get obssesed with fighters that simply arent as good as they thought Just like bute, cloud, chaves jr, lacy, haye, dawson and arguably lucas to name a few
I believed in Alexander too until the Kotelnik gift. He should have 6 losses now if judges had been on the level. I still believe Bute is very decent, Cloud never been anything like Chavez Jr, couldn't care less about Lacy, always thought Haye was way overhyped and actually turned out slightly better as I expected, Dawson actually was pretty good but then dehydrated himself to Bolivian, and Lucas id still one of the top 140's but turns out to have a weak spot.
Haye and Bute were both very good fighters in their time. I don't think you can use their names to make a point like this one.
Alexander was never hyped anywhere close to Bute, Chavez Jr, Lacy, Haye, or Lucas. Nowhere close to those guys. And, don't tell anyone, but he is a former unified 140 champ. Also don't tell anyone but he has fought an amazing list of quality opponents and beaten many of them. He's fought a much better list of opponents than some of the guys you've listed did.
Devon is clearly not the same fighter he once was. And look at what he did to Urango and Witter-those type of performances create hype. And his campaign at welterweight started with three dominant victories over decent opposition.
