I just don't see hopkins going to distance on this one,I do give him a lot of credit for step in on the ring with pavlik, something I though hopkins didn't had the balls to do, he proved me wrong. but either hopkins tries to get disqualified himself or lose by late tko, this is definetely hopkins last fight.

I will love that Pavlik will be able to stop Hopkins, but is very unlikely since Hopkins is very very defensive and has a world class chin as they say

Hopkins only problem is endurance...He still can fight like a 30 year old, and is very clever, and awkward stylish wise....it won't be easy for Kelly:hey

Cant see it , he'll win but hitting Hopkins clean ( especially these days ! ) is almost impossible and its not like Kelly comes in from unusual angles.

You never know though and he certianly hits hard enough to do it.

I wouln't bet on it. Pavlik isn't as good at the higher weight as he is at 160, and his power doesn't carry as well, it seems. Hopkins has a very, very good chin and if in trouble, he is very good at surviving. Small, outside chance, nothing more, I'd say.

Pavlik has a good shot at KO'ing Bernard.

BHop is a sneaky fighter, but he's not a defensive wizard as some make him out to be, Bernard is hittable. With that being said, I'm not sure how well Bernard is going to take Pavlik's punches that seem to go through the gaurd let alone Bernard keeping up with Pavlik's workrate.

Bernard ran out of answers for Calzaghe, who isn't the biggest puncher. How much better can he do against Pavlik who IMO is the harder puncher?

    Should be entertaining nonetheless.

He ran out of answers because the questions were not based on power. Maybe you would do better considering things from that angle.

Where do you get the idea that Pavlik doesn't keep his power at a bit higher weight? He's fought above 160 twelve or thirteen times, and only one of those fights lasted more than 4 or 5 rounds. That was the second Taylor fight. KP injured BOTH hands in that fight. Lack of power had nothing to do with Taylor lasting the full 12. Pavlik conserved the right from the 7th round on, and JT fought what was arguably the smartest fight of his career.

Pavlik's power is overrated, but it's his high workrate that will tire Hopkins out, as he got tired against Calzaghe. But whereas Joe's punches were powerless slaps, Pavliks will at least have some meat on them and Hopkin's won't be able to slip, block and avoid 80 hard punches per round. He will end up exhausted and battered, potentiallly resulting in a late stoppage.
