I don't see Hopkins getting stopped. At all. Pavlik will win it but if he stops BHOP i will be very ****in impressed. BHop might go in D mode and lose a wide decision, but stopped? that would be something

Also, if Hopkins pulls off the upset, wow. I would be so goddamn happy. I like Pav but Hopkins is a legend in his own right.

If Pavlik stops Hopkins, then imo the demand for Calzaghe vs Pavlik outweighs Calzaghe's plans retire.

Btw i thnk Pavlik has the perfect style to defeat Hopkins. Young and strong with a stiff jab, good stamina, and long reach. If I'm wrong then I'll gladly eat crow.

One thing for sure, I've never bet against Hopkins, and I'm not gonna start today. However, i can get 10/3 on Hopkins by UD, and I'm contemplating it.

 

I think if the scores are wide they are going to favor b hop. I can see kelly winning a tight fight but I would be shoked if he was kod

Something just tells me that Pavlik is to much of a basic 1-2 fighter to go in there and just blast a crafty vet like B-Hop out of there.

Victor Oganov has 28 wins 28 KO's and hes not good at all.

 

Hopkins is not just a chin. Pavlik has taken people out with body shots. He almost took JT out in the second fight with one with an INJURED hand. So, there is more to hit. And it will wear Hopkins down so his chin comes into play later on.

 

Pavlik is the real deal.. No need for hating, it's pointless along with ignorant

 

B-Hop will frustrate Pavlik for 4 or 5 rounds but i think Pavlik's tireless workrate will wear him down and Pavlik will punish him late.I think the old man will have enough pride and smarts to hang on though.Pavlik ud 116-112

 

OK. Let me rephrase the question. How many bona fide world champs? Kelly's power may be over rated by some (always get that), but on an objective basis, it is still very good. According to Bronco McKart, it is UNDER RATED. It isn't the 'one punch' variety, but it is in EVERY thing he throws according to Bronco. He has very under rated core strength by many because he looks so damned skinny.

He has power at middleweight, i await proof that it carries above that, certainly didn't look like it in the second Taylor fight and we will soon see at 170, there are certainly questions about Pavlik and his power above 160.
