I'm surprised there is so much controversy

am I the only one who saw Valuev swinging and missing 90% of his punches and being continually countered by Haye?

A performance that Floyd would no doubt be lauded for?

What am i missing here? Valuev never got in the fight, and Haye had the fight off the back foot :huh

I did see Valuev swinging and missing most of his punches. However... that's the difference... Valuev was actually swinging.

Exactly. Valuev was throwing punches, coming forward, making the fight. Haye was running, and landing flicking punches occasionally. The only time he really landed solidly on Valuev was in the last round.

People are going to keep saying Valuev won, think we will just have to put up with it. Like many had to with Jim Watt earlier. Valuev was poor, landed extremely little and was made to look amatuerish. Feels good to have a british heavyweight champ.

Swinging and missing wide should count against you. You can't win a fight where you don't even land.

Its just the state of the General Forum at the moment...

Just a small band of Klit-huggers who spend 100% of their time on ESB talking about how **** Haye is.

People like controversy and drama, so they create it where there is none. It was a close fight, but a robbery? Some don't know what a robbery is.

The whole concept of hitting your opponent does seem to escape many of ESB. But, in close ugly fights like Haye-Valuev, it is hard to score. You only understand with a clear mind and no special agenda t push.

U dont win a fight by swinging and missing - u win a fight by punching and not being punched.. Thats what haye did

And Valuev landed 1 punch max per round. Thats why Haye won :smoke

  15. Is that why Froch won the decision over Dirrell? Because Froch was swinging?
