    I'm really pained by the robbery. Román is good peoples and I had really hoped that he would retire undefeated. To battle back that hard from a first round knockdown and grind for 12 rounds against a guy with an iron chin and throwing massive bombs back was a breathtaking thing to behold.

    In interviews, Román ain't even that mad. I think that he should avoid a rematch, though. Now that Rungvisai knows that Román can't really hurt him, he'll knock out Román in the rematch.

    Wanted him to beat Floyds record, but if you keep going up in weight without paying to defense these things happen.

    technically, yes, as someone could throw more in some rounds than they did in others so the numbers unbalance, yes that is flawed, but when the numbers are that different, and the round by round is clear, and the fact that if you watch the fight, you can see clear as day what is landing and what isn't, it isn't flawed.

    I'm bummed out by the robbery too. Partly, it's because it might spoil the pristine career of an all time great fighter. He was already getting paid peanuts and just starting to build a following. This is going to have a serious impact on his career, earning, and drawing potential. Plus, I was hoping he would go 50-0 before he lost and really wow people that way.

    I'm also a little bummed by 1 how nobody seems to care that the #1 fighter in the sport just got robbed and had his title and perfect record ripped away. This was like Roy Jones Jr not getting his gold at the Olympics. Probably worse than that DQ loss he suffered for hitting Montel Griffith when he was down. Roy would have gone 50-0 too otherwise, but at least it didn't hurt his earning power the way this is going to hurt Roman's.

    I'm further bummed out that some people around here don't seem to recognize what an amazing talent he is and are already writing him off just as he was starting to build a solid reputation. The gloating and the nonsense that flies around here passing for intelligent discourse gets on my nerves sometimes.

    Yep. They're more focused on hating Gennady Golovkin. It wasn't a terrible robbery, but it was a robbery nonetheless. Román walked through fire and brimstone and deserved the victory. Román took 1-2 to land 3-5 punches against a big puncher. Román is all balls.

    Unfortunately, Rungvisai snatched his prime. Román will look terrible going forward. I'm completely shattered, bro.
