...may not be such a great idea after all.

As much as I like Rhodes, he probably needs to be taking an alternative route towards world honours.

would make sence. He needs to fight someone who will give him a bit of recognition in other countries. Think a world title is a bit of a long shot, but who knows.

Is there any word on who Rhodes' next opponent might be?

Baysangurov is his mando for the Euro title. It's going to purse bids.

Baysangurov is also third in the WBA's rankings. A victory against him would hopefully see Rhodes get a shot against Foreman towards the back end of the year.

He'd do ok against Foreman, primarily because Foreman's not much of a puncher. Martinez would demolish him.

Might be worth trying to get a fight with an aging Corry Spinks? :think (Ryan's no spring chicken either )

I wonder if Martinez will vacate his title in order to campaign at 160. The unification fights at 154 are not attractive and there's talk of him facing Pavlik, for the middleweight title. The upshot of that would be, obviously, Rhodes could get a shot at the vacant title.

no matter who rhodes fights for any version of the top 4 titles he is going to be a huge underdog
