Reading this forum and quotes from Mayweather and most recently Hopkins, I'm so tired of hearing about why money is the reason why guys don't fight. Obviously it matters to the fighters, but it's so boring to read about. I find guys hiding behind the "Money" card are more often than not, hedging their bets.

As a boxing fan, I find it disgraceful Mayweather chose to fight for more money against Baldomir, a guy nobody wanted to see, rather than fight Margarito. I also find it apallibg that if the Pacquiao fight doesn't happen, rather than pursue a bout with Williams or the Berto/Mosely winner, Mayweather will choose to fight Hatton because it makes him more money. Hopkins used money as a reason to duck Jones years ago because he wouldn't back down, despite the fact he couldn't draw flies to warm ****.

Using money as an excuse to not fight the best, is cowardice.

There are too many elite fighters who care more about their bank balance than legacy, and thats a shame.
