"The wear and tear of the Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. fight ruined Martinez," said Roach. "Martinez has nothing left. Miguel is the fresher fighter."

Ok I just went and rewatched round 1.

Just Rik and Buckdacious are trolling pure and simple, rewatching it the knee looks even worse than I remembered it live.

Heck, the first knockdown - wasnt even from a punch, Martinez ducks the hook but just Cotto's forearm pulling back behind Sergio's head is enough to pull him down because his leg collapses. To say nothing of the way he was unsteady from the opening bell.

It looked like he was trying to warm the leg up a bit and get used to it, but though he ran a bit his balance was never there from the first second.

    Fkin trolls I swear.

I did too they replayed it on HBO tonight, the other 2 KD's the punches barely land clean, trolls in denial.

  4. See guys, this is. Perfect example of when a fan gets irrational because one of his fighters gets attacked

unchanged, sunshine. i stated my friend and i laughed at how badly he hobbled on his right leg, you called me a liar.

you're wrong about sergio's training, too. he didn't spar or run.

how do cobwebs in the brain only affect 1 leg?

fair play to cotto, he beat a bigger man, but that bigger man was in no fit state to fight. i suspect your agenda is something to do with validating cotto as a legit mw champ with an eye to floyd being the same. whatever, deny the evidence of your eyes if you want, i ain't joining in.

Nailed it. I suspect there are those who would see Cotto legitimized so that Floyd can not only have an excuse to fight him, but also an excuse to NOT fight Pacquiao.

Won't happen, because Cotto will get rekt by Alvarez, GGG, and possibly even Bradley.

bad knees in boxing equates to shot. Bad knees in horse racing equates to shot literally.

Yeah, you watched then made some more stuff up. You could tell he was trying to warm up the legs and only the legs up huh...lol. It only looked that way to you because (which I know it didn't and you're simply trolling) because he was starting off slow while trying to warm up to the fight, hence, the first rounds being called the warm up rounds...you new to this?

Except, Freddie has his fighters jump on their opponents fast before they'r warmed up, we see this from Pac all the time, it's a strategy that Freddie has used successfully many times and here is no different. And yeah, like you've never seen a delayed reaction knock down from a fighter being rocked previously making them more susceptible to an off balance fall...again, you knew?? I'm seriously wondering...if not, quit the trolling please.

Troll? His knee doesnt block is face dummy!! Knock down wasnt from punch?? He got hurt from the left hook earlier in the round, man stop trolling.

Cotto was the better fighter plain and simple! martinez hasnt and never will be as a great as Cotto. Martinez biggest downfall is thinking the little guy cant hurt him, that was his biggest downfall

That's a bit convenient. It's impossible for Cotto to get credit and Martinez has a ready made excuse. Either Martinez wins/Cotto loses or Cotto wins/Martinez loses but it's because Martinez is shot and/or injured.

Yeah its dumb as hell! NOBODY WAS PICKING COTTO!! NOT EVEN THE CASINOS!! Thats why i racked over $3000 because Im no fool! Martinez has been down 4 of his last 5 fights, has no defense and never fought anybody with Cootto's skill level at all

Simply put Martinez was past his prime but still a champion and an elite level operator his physical condition wasn't optimal however cotto fought an awesome fight it's unfortunate that those preaching Sergios knee was the reason for his destruction bypass what cotto delivered strategically that night though I would never expect more from the majority of folks on here with their polarized views and lack of boxing substance. In other words cotto is clearly better quality when compared to those who failed to take full advantage of Martinez's physical and mental flaws. Now everyone stfu lmao
