Im tired of People saying Martinez was shot after Cotto beat him!!!

Cotto deserves all the respect for this win, especially when everyone overlooked him going in to this fight. I definitely said the fight will be competitive but didn't expect a shut out and a stoppage from Cotto.

However, anyone that thinks that Martinez was in his prime in this fight needs to enter the gas chamber for his idiocy. I mean this forum is already fully establishing itself as the dating grounds for trolls and mentally incapable so you're not crossing any lines either way.

It boggles my mind how someone can think Sergio was fully healthy. The guy could barely plant his feet. And without your legs, you are nothing. Not only in boxing but in any sport. It affects everything you do from offense/defense. Theses people have either never played sports and don't realize how important this factor is or they are just Cotto fans. I mean you have to give Cotto some credibility for beating Sergio but given the circumstances, not much. I mean any contender would've beaten Sergio that night. He was more worried about his knee giving out on him than winning. Sergio knew the condition of his knee and cashed out. That's why he didn't spar nor did much roadwork (if any).

Funny how none of the "Serg was shot" guys answered none of buckdacious questions or addressed any of my observation's. The only thing their capable of is repeating Serg was shot like children with temper tantrums and inability to reason. It's also crazy that people don't realize they are actively looking for an excuse when they make mockeries by saying Serg was 100%, or he was healthy, or fresh.

When everyone knew we were not dealing with a tip top Serg going in, and they still made their genius Serg wins easy predictions. You are basically saying if he was not 100% he was shot. One guy even blatantly said that outright!! "If Serg was not shot he was never any good, take your pick" You just can't make this stuff up, it's the Twilight Zone when it comes to reasoning in this piece!

It's true that Sergio hurt his ankles at the 12th of the Chavez fight. But to say that was the reason why he got KO'd by Cotto and went life and death with Murray, come on.. He was struggling with Euro competition way before Cotto and Murray. Even during the Chavez fight.. Chavez was a fat, slow bloated MW who had to take drugs to make the limit. This is the same Chavez that got a gift against Brain ****ing Vera in his next fight. This is Martinez's competition before the Cotto fight when he was supposedly(prime)

Now the Cotto-Martinez fight. Cotto was simply the superior fighter. He caught Martinez with the hardest shots he ever received cleanly. He couldn't recover from that and he got KO'd. The knee had nothing to do with it, he simply just couldn't deal with Cotto's speed power and boxing skills. He was flabbergasted. Cotto completely took Martinez's soul and that's why he lost..

In summary.. Martinez, the same guy that got knocked down 5 of his last 6 fights. The man who struggled against Euro level competition in Murray, Macklin, and Barker. The man who almost got knocked out by Chavez Jr.. He fights Cotto then gets his **** pushed in and now he's shot.. atsch:rofl
