That dumb ******* probably thinks Oscar was the same Oscar that fought Tito and was at his best weight at 145LB.

Plus he probable thinks that Tito won the fight just for being Puerto Rican.

He must be a closet racist.

    Serhiy Dzinziruk

Paul Williams, a guy that beat a Prime Margo and didn't go out on his knees.

Exactly. For years the Sergio fans were telling us he was a top PFP, an ATG, and how they all wanted to blow him. Any of us who said he was overrated, and he was, was laughed to scorn. Just like when we predicted Cotto could beat him. We weren't saying we weren't fans of the guy. We were. But was the guy overrated? Definitely.

Was Sergio in decline? Of course he was. He was 39. Was he shot? No. His knees were good enough to allow him to come back in the middle of the fight and arguably win a round or two. We all saw Cotto had trained with Freddie to tag Sergio with his left hook. Sergio just was not ready for that in round one. But by the middle rounds Sergio had adjusted and was avoiding those same left hooks. None of the guys who are saying he was shot have acknowledged any of this. Nor do they acknowledge that Sergio's chin was always shaky.

Is there any reason to believe Cotto would do what Murray and Chavez had done, but better? Of course, Cotto was the best boxer Martinez ever faced. Cotto had the skills, the conditioning and the right game plan to beat Sergio, and Sergio fans who don't give him credit are just showing themselves to be fanboys.

You don't know what the hell you're talking about. Knee injury END CAREERS of YOUNG athletes in their 20's but a 39 year old is supposed to carry on?

You must of never boxed in your life. Without a base (legs) in boxing, you're done.

The only fanboys are the Cotto fanboys who claim that Martinez was fine.

yaaahhhh ok, possibly back in the 60' and 70's a simple ACL could threaten a career.

ACL reconstructs are NOT career threatening, its a 3 to 6 month rehab at the most.. lol career threatening ACL , LMFAO

I heard Sergio didn't have any sparring sessions during his camp for Cotto fight. Is this true? If yes, then many things become clear as a blue sky.
And why you wrote 7 pages of all this premature talk? It'll become clear whether Cotto is legit if he fights GGG and whether Sergio is done if he ever/never fights again.

He looked absolutely horrible. Totally shot to shit. It was like watching a frail 85 year old man with a gammy leg trying to scale the North face of Everest with a 250lb backpack on.

You're a fool. The question is not whether knee injuries end careers. It's whether Sergio's knees were the reason he lost the fight. They were not. Sergio was moving well enough to win middle rounds and neutralize Cotto's left. He just got hurt early by a better boxer plain and simple and never recovered. Just like he said after the fight. Fanboys like you don't know how to give credit where it is due. You sound like the one who has never boxed, or used his brain.
