I'm very confident that Provodnikov would make Danny 'Gift' Garcia his punching toy

    Herrera did it.
    Peterson did it.

140 or 147 lbs, it doesn't matter. Ruslan makes the referee or Angel to stop the fight. The beating that Danny would take would be too much.

    Discuss.

Danny has problems with guys who can move. His feet appear to be made of cement. Provo would be there for Danny to hit. I don't think Provo wins unless he can get Danny out of there. I have Garcia winning a decision if it goes 12.

Provo has lost 3 of his last 5 fights, just FYI. The step up in competition has proved what he really is: A gate keeper. A tough fighter for sure, but not a world beater and if somebody is expecting to be a world champion, they SHOULD beat Provo.

Danny does not look to good at the moment ruslan fights differently to lucas he is much more relentless i could see Garcia being stopped him more so at this stage.

The Siberian Rocky would punish Danny. Too much brute force, chin and aggressiveness.

Ruslan gave Bradley hell , who's a superior boxer to Danny.

Undoubtedly. Garcia has lost it. Matthysse ruined him in that fight, then Herrera and then Peterson.

Bradley has never fought Danny. For all we know, Danny would kick Bradley's ass.

Secondly, I don't subscribe to triangle theories in boxing.

Third: Provo hasn't won jack, and has lost 3 of his last 5 fights. Reality. Provo has the looks of a gate keeper. Excellent fighter in his own right, but will never be the top dog in a division. Provo will always be looking up at some boxers in the rankings.

Danny gets steamrolled by Ruslan at this moment. No doubt.

Just like he steamrolled Tim, Chris, and Lucas? I think not.

Reality: Provo has lost 3 of his last 5 fights. (That's a 40% win rate in his last 5 bouts....)

Garcia is tailor made for Prov, its one big fight/big name i see him winning.

Garcia struggles with distance, not with speed. Khan was beating him to the punch until Danny started to time him, then BANG.

Against Peterson Danny's flaws were exposed, Keep it at range, or smother him and he's toothless.

Once Prov got inside, i think he'd beat Danny up.

    Quit the trolling.

One KO and two gifts in almost three years ?

Danny's 140lb train has left the platform, and i don't think he has the power or the skills to mix it at 147.

While I agree Danny isn't exactly looking great in his last 2 outings, Provo has also lost 3 of 5 fights and taken some good beatings in the process that surely have taken something out of him.

While Garcia has done well considering his clear limitations (although the Herrera decision was a gift), it appears Provo finds a way to lose. I also feel Provo would be an easy target for Garcia in regard to landing punches.

Sure, Provo can crack and there is the possibility he hurts/stops Garcia. But typically fights at this level go the distance, and in that case, I'd have to favor Garcia over 12.

I agree with you completely about 147. I don't see Danny being successful there.

I have no problem whatsoever with your prediction, i just think Danny has lost his edge, and he struggles to let his hands go at anything except perfect punching range.

Styles make fights, and i just think if Prov smothered him, he'd beat him. If he let Danny dictate the fight, then obviously Danny could beat him.

And yes, at 147 i see Danny getting roasted by even less than elite fighters.

This is a serious problem Danny has to work on in the gym. He's not getting in proper foot position to punch, and if he's expecting his opponent to line themselves up for him at this level, he could be standing around and waiting a long time. (See Peterson fight)

I agree with you in that whoever can dictate the style of fight will win. Both men haven't been looking good recently, so who knows. :huh

Either way, I think it'd be an entertaining bout. I wouldn't mind watching it. :bbb
