What a character!!! I haven't finished it yet, but I am wondering: what did Emanuel Steward do to help him, if anything? Was he not the right pick for Naz, or was Naz's downfall inevitable?

Is it Big Prince Little Fight, or something like that?

Steward didn't really help Hamed much. It didn't help that Hamed apparently didn't train like he should have. Hamed and Ingle were a good combo.

With Hamed's bad habits, eventually someone was gonna take advantage of them and beat him. Hamed may have been quicker and harder to hit around the 95-97 period, but even then, Medina was hitting him with consistency and showing his defensive flaws. Other fights showed how he could get so sloppy and get tagged.

So it was probably a mixture of different factors. Hamed being so technically flaws, not being with the trainer whom he meshed better with, facing better opposition in Barrera, complacency (the old "silk pajamas" thing).

Steward is great with tall guys that have good jabs (Hearns, Klitschko, Lennox...), with all other guys he's just a decent trainer...
