I'm watching Billy Crystal on Bob Costas and they're discussing Ali

    Billy Crystal was telling Bob Costas that he sat next to Muhammad Ali at Howard Cosell's funeral . There was a closed casket. Crystal said Ali asked him if he thought Cosell was buried with his hairpiece and how would God recognize him without it. Crystal said all he has to do is open his mouth.

    Oh sh*t, if that isn’t embellished and verbatim, that’s hilarious.

    Maybe a closed casket was the only way to prevent Howard from sitting bolt upright and compulsively commentating on his own funeral.

    Ali’s heavenly musing was also based on the assumption: “Up goes Cosell, Up goes Cosell, Up goes Cosell………”

    The way Crystal told the story he didn't really answer Ali. He said he mused to himself, "Hell if I know. All God needed to do is hear his voice."
