Arguello, I have to say. I think Arguello establishes a jab early and controls the first rounds. Barrera´s body attack wins him the middle rounds and slows Alexis down temporarily, but that he lands a right hand over the top of Barreras guard sometime late in the fight when Barrera is thinking body attack and opening up.

    Alexis was a great counterpuncher.

Arguello as a featherweight was imo a significantly better fighter than Erik Morales.
In fact, both Arguello and Morales had the same body type, but Arguello had alot more power at 126 lbs than did Morales.

I'm not kidding when I say that I would pick Arguello by brutal KO in the midrounds.

I'm sorry, but Arguello was a cut above either MAB or Erik Morales.
A fighter like Pac who is much faster and throws alot of punches would stand a better chance, but even he has to many flaws that Arguello would take care of Pac also.

......and btw, I am cogniscent of the fact that 126 lbs was'nt Arguello's best weight.
Arguello having gained more upper body strenghth, would have certainly blasted any of those three fighters in their prime at 130 lbs.

I'd even pick Arguello to beat JMM who in his prime would imo give Arguello the best fight of the four because of his counterpunching razor sharp mindset.
Marquez is less likely to be lured into a brawl with Arguello, thus he's likely to have a better chance at the upset.

Arguello would have beaten Barrera at featherweight, or any weight. Marco may have some success in the early to mid rounds, but Arguello would stick to a gameplan and would fight Barrera at a distance, controlling him with the jab. He would have landed some big right hands and countered Barrera as well. Either he wins a decision or a late TKO, but I would pick Arguello by stoppage.
