This guy will fight ANYBODY. Hot prospect (Allan Green), avoided ko artist (Kelly Pavlik) "champion" in his back yard (abraham, bute) he doesnt seem to have any concept of risk reward. Granted a lot of these fights he wouldnt be the draw, but I think he probably could have avoided Pavlik and still gotten a title shot.

Whatever about his ability. This guy has balls of pure steel doesnt seem to treat boxing like and economist (cost bennefit analysis for every fight) and I just want to give him props for that :good

Oh, but he does do risk/reward!

Look, if he had to fight his way up like everyone else, he'd probably fail and be considered just an average contender. However, because he only fights in big fights against top opposition, even if he loses time after time, he will still get big fights against top opposition, for which, of course, he is handsomely payed and well-promoted and hyped...because people will say: "He will fight the very best; good on him; love the guy!"

This makes perfect sense from a risk/reward point of view, because he is not penalised as your average contender for losing and he is rewarded even more if he happens to win, because of the hype. Granted, you must have balls to play risk/reward like that, and you must be lucky enough to have the exposure and backing from the TV networks; also, you must content yourself with a shorter career, because you're involved in very tough fights time after time...but...you still end up making more money in that short time than equally good contenders who are less lucky/don't have the same balls.:good

He fights good fighters, but lets not exagerated: Allen Green and Pavlik were both percieved to be lower top ten contenders at best, and we've seen how far Eastman has slide since their fight. Abraham was a legitimate top opponent. However, you have to squeeze in bouts against Sherwin Davis, Henry Poras, Willie Gibbs, and David Banks. I'd say he fights about one big fight a year.

I like Miranda because he will fight the dangerous guys and he fights with pride. He is one of the few fighters that I think values his reputation as a warrior more than the dollar amount in his bank account. It's quite sad how materialistic and money hungry many boxers have become. Yes they are prize fighters, but at times many take it to the extreme and soil the soul of the sport. To me , Miranda is not one of those guys.

The thing is Decebal, you write that as if Miranda loses ALL THE TIME. Mikkel Kessler himself has said he only believes Miranda has lost once to Pavlik, and not against A.A..

Miranda has only lost one fight, not all the time like you describe there.:deal

After he lost to Pavlik he was penalized by having to go back to ESPN for a couple fights when he had worked his way to the top of all networks and rankings, he did "his time" and is now ready to get back in gear.

He didnt accept Sauerland 's offer to face his boy Abraham in a second encounter citing weight problems.

He will fight everybody now that he is nobody, don't suck his dick just yet. If he makes it to the top, which i don't think he will, you can judge him then.

Most fighters willl fight everybody and anybody when they are nobody, they just don't talk **** as much as Miranda.

If by "got some rounds" you mean look like a completely different fighter and struggle with a D+ fighter than yeah, He got some rounds in.

He's skating by on guys who aren't even near C level and once he moves up in competition (like he did against Miranda), He's going to get knocked back down.
