Ok, we know Floyd ducked Pac as much as he could

He didn't want to take this fight, not even now, but he was forced to sign by his bosses at Showtime and Moonves, because he was making them lose too much $$$ with his garbage PPVs against cherrypicked opposition

Now that he finally has to face the feared pinoy midget, we are seeing Floyd training harder and more desperately than ever, doing things he's never done before, from training methods to stop talking ****, even his despicable personality seems to have changed, he's all focus, all fear

and this is against a PAST PRIME PACQUIAO! imagine if Mayweather was forced to fight the prime beast from 2007-2009, in an hypothetical world where he also had a deal going wrong with showtime of HBO back then, and just couldn't duck his way out of the match with bs PED accusations and other roadblocks

What kind of training would he be doing??? could his heart even take it?

i reckon he'd fake an injury or something and try to run for the hills, maybe even retire for a while, similar to what David Haye did against Fury

    Floyd knocks him out.

That;s why Pac never wanted drug testing.

Floyd himself knew who would win.

If Pac had agreed to the testing protocol and lost, as expected, you losers would have complained that Mayweather was too big and should have fought Pac at 135.

We don't know how well Mayweather would have fared against prime Pacquiao because he's never taken on such high level opposition.

All we know is that he would have ducked.

Too bad everyone on Team Pacquiao said publicly at the time and has confirmed over and over again since that they were the ones who walked away from the negotiating table in Dec. 2009/Jan. 2010, the first negotiations when the fight meant the most, because they wouldn't agree to random blood testing.

Why is it so hard to accept their own words, which have been repeated over and over and known for half a decade?!?

You can't revise history by spewing nonsense on a forum.

Hmm... well, when Pac was in his prime Floyd had faster feet, fought at a faster pace, had less hand problems so more power, fresh legs, and was way smarter...

I honestly don't believe the result would be any different today. Since 2009, both men have faded equally.

Mayweather has less pop in his punches, his reflexes have slowed, his footwork is a bit slower. People think he's extremely quick, he's actually not that fast, it's his timing that makes him look quick. Put him in with a fast opponent and he looks average. In fact, IMO, I feel that Floyd's speed and stamina is generally over rated. He reserves his stamina well and times his opponents to the point he looks quicker than he is.

Pacquiao lost some of his punch resistance, lost pop in his punches, hand speed looks a little slower, and he gets fatigued quicker. He's been carefully matched since his KO loss to Marquez. Rios has power but he lacks elite boxing. Bradley is good but feather fisted so there's only the risk of being outpointed. Algieri should've never been in the ring.

The only difference I think the fight would've been in 2009 vs 2015 is 1) more excitement and 2) they were both more athletic. And despite popular belief, neither of them have faded much but it is obvious they have both lost a little.

I think the fight would have been a lot different. Both Mayweather and especially Pacquiao carried a lot more power in the lower weight classes.

Mayweather is feather fisted at 147, but he NOT at 140 and below.

And Pacquiao was one of the hardest punchers in the sport at 135 and below.

I thought the first negotiations was when they both were at 147 so I don't get your point.

Ok if that's the case then disregard my point. I'm surprised they would try and negotiate it there.
