So true, what an awesome game that was. Brings me back to the old days when I was kid playing sega. I overheated that ***** so much, I'm lucky it didn't blow up on me.
he would be **** Tyson was good because he was short and could rush inside off the slip and work the inside
It seems our threadstarter has unearthed a new revolutionary theory that relates height to boxing aptitude. By his deductions 8'11" Robert Wadlow would have been the greatest boxer in the history of the sport.
tyson small size is actually a big adventage for him not the opposite, especially when he's still training under rooney & amato if you mean tyson in valuev size but has 80's tyson speed and ability, he's not going to be called iron mike but a DEMOLISHOR instead
Tyson was an inside fighter. At Valuev's height and reach his punches would get smothered and generate no power. Bobbing and weaving at that height would just put him in punching range of other fighters rather than avoiding punches. Unless at Valuev's size he were fighting boxers Shaq's height than it would make no sense to fight on the inside with that frame. This thread is uber fail!
That's why I always feel this whoe p4p thing is overdone in boxing. Imagine Allen Iverson was 7 feet tall and still as fast, he would be the greatest basketballplayer of all time. Size reduces speed and mobility at a certain point. There will never be a 7 foot world class gymnast or dancer. Tyson would have a completely body mechanics at 7 feet. If Vitali was 6'2, he could be lightening fast...but it's all nonsense.
you're thinking of a prime tyson who you witnessed as a 215-220 lb fighter who's 5"9-5"11, and now imagining that same fighter being as effective at 7 foot. not going to happen, the whole style would of changed. tyson's style is for a smaller heavyweight, not for a big heavyweight.
