Ali always struggled and even lost to Norton and Frazier. Foreman demolished both Norton and Frazier in two rounds, no sweat. Ali stopped Foreman. Styles make fights. The best punch against a southpaw is Wilder's best punch ... the straight or lead right hand. Should be good.
In a dream world of Deontay's fans, he lands his best punch on Usyk and scores a sensational KO win. In a real fight, Usyk wins every second of every round and stops Wilder
No chance in hell Prime Wilder was dangerous for Usyk because he had one shot power but would have lost every round in trying so. That one shot power has gone and his speed and unpredictability has even gone. Usyk will mince him up and KO him. It's 2026. Wilder gave his last hurrah in 2021, good effort but not enough to overcome the gypsy king, This content is protected Wilder's last bout....he is finito. His legs are stiffer than ever, doesn't move much and his speed is half. Explosiveness is what made him deadly and he's lost that.
1. It’s the best money grab for Uysk without rematching someone he’s already fought 2. it’s a trash fight 3. Uysk would not be the first or last champion or heavyweight champion for picking a most likely easy win and a cash grab fight 4. it is actually interesting, because…. Well, you never know. Wilder has ridiculous power despite all his short comings 5. it’s a trash fight 6. I’d actually be hella happy in a weird way for Wilder, because it would be one of the biggest curve balls of all time in boxing in no particular order
Oh actually 7. Biggest money grab unless somehow Jake Paul beats Joshua, which despite Wilder potentially beating Uysk would be an even bigger upset than Tyson-Douglas, would still be 10x the upset than either of those fights
The year is 2026 and the biggest fight in boxing is Fury (2nd best heavyweight Vs AJ (fringe top 10 HW) Funny isn't it. BRITS ON TOP. Casual british boxing fans run boxing. Great that Fury decided to spent this entire year training but it's a shame the year before fighting Usyk he got fat and lazy. He wants to go out with a bang. This has been a good year of getting rid of the skim (Parker, Zhang, Dubious etc etc) Warldey vs Kabayel is the only fight left to get rid of the final skim.
If Wilder was in his prime, there might be an element of possibility, but he is so shot to bits these days.
Since Usyk seems to duck the most interesting challengers, I would love for Wilder to KO him and creates one of the biggest upset in boxing. It would reopen the division in unexpected ways. But we have to be real, Wilder appears to be shot now and Usyk still performs at an elite level.
Usyk isn't ducking no one imo. It just hope he will be more active next year as he fights someone else after Wilder quickly as he must know too Wilder can't do much
I honestly feel that if Wilder lands the mother of all right hands like Mcall did that one time, he could do it. I don't believe Usyk has ever been hit like that before. But again , it has to be the mother of all right hands. It basically is Usyk winning 9.9/10 times, but still, that one punch could do it as he has een wobbled before. A part of me kind of want to see Wilder do it as he is an underdog and it would be the biggest upset since Tyson as I don't think anyone believes in Wilder anymore
He can't pull the trigger either. Some guys keep that that timing and ability to pull the trigger(Povetkin is a good example) as they age and decline physically, but Wilder since at least the Parker fight has had clear issues with letting his right hand fly.
I think he's reluctant to face some opponents (Kabayel and previously Parker). I'm not saying that he's afraid of them but there's a clear pattern of favoring heavier, more lumbering opponents.
Definatly. It's what I always said. Usyks fights at heavyweight. He won them through conditioning. This is why his decisions were not blow outs like people make them out to be. After Usyk beat Fury 2, I much rather he would have fought Parker before Dubois to be honest,as we already knew what the end result was gonna be
