Both are fighting really difficult boxers:

Mosley is one of the smartest fughters of our era

Clottey is a tough SOB with a sick defense

I can see them losing, it may be the best for boxing; then they will be forced to fight each other to recover the lost ground.

    Thoughts???

It's a good shout. I wouldn't mind a few quid on the double if the odds are good.

Bob Arum would kill himself and I think Mayweather would go through one of the worst bouts of depression in recorded history.

I don't see it. Never in there prime either.

Mayweather = Way too smart, I feel he'll box all night with Mosley and win a good decision.
Pacquiao = Dominating Clottey from round 2. Clottey has little offense and stands in one place.

But if Mosley-Clottey got through, there would be little hype as Clottey doesn't have a very good fan-base.

Mayweather-Pac would make more regardless of winning or losing.

I cant see Clottey beating Pacquiao im sorry I just dont see it. For me May-Mosley is 50-50. If they both lost I dont think they would fight each other TBH. Pac would go into the politics and Floyd if the fight was close he would ask for a rematch vs Shane. I think the best chance for Pacquiao-Mayweather to happen has already passed us bye.

it wouldnt be the first time a superfight on the horizon has been quashed by something unexpected . Tyson vs Holyfield the unbeaten , but Tyson messed that up in Tokyo.

It would be a termendous financial blow. They would make about half of what they would have made had they capitalized on the public demand for the fight when they were both coming off wins. However it doesn't look like they have any interest in fighting each other anyway so **** them.

It's very possible, more so on Clottey vs Pac as Clottey is built like a walking tank. If Mosley can get to Floyd he might finish the job but I think Mayweather's relexes might be too quick for a 38 year old Sugar.

It wouldnt bother me as bad because in a way it will be a 'this is what you get' for not making the fight that should be happening, and id be happy for the mayweather/mosley in a way as well because i like mosley and am actually probably going to be rooting for him in this fight (by the way, i really dont see how mosley is one of the smartest fighters, hes a great fighter and has many advantages and strengths, but being smart at least in my opinion, isnt really one of them, hes very predictable, gets fustrated easily, doesnt adapt too well within the fight, and gets stumped by some routine stuff sometimes)

but anyways, the thing about these fights... i can see the underdogs winning, i think they are live underdogs here and actually present challenges in which the champions have rarely faced before (mosleys speed, size, experience and power) (clotteys durability and size) and my jaw is not going to drop should eather favorite lose....
