Wlad is fighting now and not later because he truly wants to fight more often. ****-talking extortionists like Haye are wasting months of Wlad's prime, and now he has a more worthy challenger in Chagaev with the winner being crowned the undisputed heavyweight champ. A wonderful turn of events for Wlad, Chagaev, and boxing as a whole. Back of the line for Haye.

He didn't have much to lose in my opinion.

 

Only two weeks left before this fight. Not much chance of an injury since most of the training is already done. Maybe some more sparring with a more appropriate sparring partner and that is about all that is left at this point. And Wald would look like a fool if the other guy gets hurt? This idiocy has got to stop.

 

i think wlad has conducted himself like a class act during all of this, I still believe he should have delayed the fight, remember he wanted to fight haye back in march or april....and so he waited till June, why cant he wait another month?

and it would be a tragic sad story if somehow chagaev pulled the upset, that guy would sit on the belt FOREVER ala felix sturm.
